lowering hp on tank items is a huge indirect nerf to our favorite champion

that is wrong my friend. here is why. He will kill tanks just as fast as before. prosentage is still %
not sure you understand how the changes on tank items work. they're proposing that they will lower the amount of HP an item gives but raise the corresponding resistance. so:
kog'maw does 7% mgc dmg from MAX health - on a TANK with 3000 health + 60MR (just using it as a reference point)
current spirit visage gives - 500HP & 50MR so the tank would then have 3500HP & 120MR. at 7% mgc dmg max health kog'maw does 245 magic damage per auto (BEFORE DMG REDUCTION). after dmg reduction kog'maw does 117.6
future spirit visage gives - 450HP & 60MR tank would have 3450 HP & 60 MR. at 7% mgc dmg max health kog'maw does 241.5 magic dmg per auto (BEFORE DMG REDUCTION). after dmg reduction kog'maw does 108.6 magic dmg
10 magic dmg doesn't seem like alot but how totals up at the end. additionally this calculation neglects other MR additives.
next BoRK does 8% of CURRENT health
this should be self explanatory seeing as that when the tank's health decreases the dmg you do decreases and thus becomes increasingly small when calculated with the resistances
the easiest way for me to explain myself would to make you go into a custom game and attack the new tanks, with the botrk+ruran +w/e
they will still die just as fast if not faster. armour and mr dont scale as godly as you think. and since the damage is % combined with normal ad, they willl still die just as fast. and the HP values you listed for tank's in both cases is you twisting the numbers into what you think is right.
tanks lose way more health overall.
easiest way for you to see this is to go into a practice mode game/custome game.
and just take the time on how fast kog kills something (gargoyle stoneplate not in the equation for obvius reasons)
and you will see its just the same
dont throw math. when your biased as fuck, and twisting the scenario to something very unlikely.+ i prob played kog'maw far more than you for far more seasons.
TL:DR dont make a scenario where you twist the numbers to some highly unlikely scenario, that will happen once out of a 1000games.+ stop being biased.
TL;DR custom/practice mode is your friend.
Q is getting a huge buff after tank update but W/E.. your singular senarios with highly unlikely armour an MR resist values + hp values will not happen in ranked games.
people love to talk about how strong kog'maw is on paper so i provided a scenario ON PAPER. of course the outcome may not be the same BUT theoretically, %dmg after the tank rework will be weaker. this pertains to any sort of %dmg since its based off of HP
i'm not twisting any numbers wtf? i am literally doing reasonable math with the upcoming changes. have you actuallyy sat down to do the math?
once the tank update does come out i will do an actual in game analysis aand i guarntee you that my statement will be correct. due to recent buff to BoRK, the best way to balance around its damage IS TO REDUCE HEALTH OF TANK ITEMS AND INCREASE PHYSICAL RESISTANCE. BoRK additionally does %hp in physical of current health so as health goes down, the less raw damage you do and thus less net damage. this pertains to anyone using BoRK
the reason why i used KOG'MAW is because he relies on his W to do majority of his damage.
how can you say his Q is his biggest steroid? i think you're trolling me at the point because if it is HIS TRUE POWER as you say, why isnt it leveled/maxed first? get out of here
read my fucking post already. why do you think you dont level it first. it scales with to many stats. and its power first truly start to shine when you have sufficent attackspeed, attackdamage, crit chance and crit damage. while W scales with 2 stats. attackspeed and magic pen. ofc you would level the stat that is the strongest early game. and put point into the one that scales as secound or third. depedning on how expensive and how far ahdead/behind you are.
the more stats something scales with the longer it takes to shine. whereas high base damage spells. scale with lvl. alot of passives. like % armour and magic resisit shreed. takes alot of stats to start to trully bring out the ungodly abomination that q provides.
same arguement to some extent would be vayne q and vayne w,
where vaynes w scales with attackspeed, and guess what (time)
whereas q scales with all stats except for attackspeed,
kog maw have some of the nasties shit in his kit, properly balanced around that he is immobile as its posssible to get.
still the tank update is a buff to kog, even if you cant see it now.
if anything kog+lulu is League of legends equalent to terrorblade of dota(before he got nerfed to hell and back)
you need to factor in the auto attacks as well
and remeber every single tank item has 75 healt cut of from it. witch will lead to the kog maw getting a buff overall.
The only part of it that is a nerf is that he will have less total damage dealt on result screen. They'd have to be building a lot of MR to counter you specifically...as an AD champion.
i'm confused as to what you're saying in the first sentence.
kog'maw does mixed damage. actually about 70% of his damage is magic damage so idk why you're saying he's an AD champion. he's a marksman that DOES do some physical dmg but not entirely. but thats not the point of the OP

He wills till be overall taking targets down more or less as fast even tho the numbers will be lower. So the only thing that will be affected are the results on the damage dealt charts.

taking targets down more or less as fast even tho the numbers will be lower
how can you say that he'll be taking his targets down fast if his numbers are lower? in the first comment i thoroughly layed out the statistics of his W % dmg with the current & new spirit visage. it shows that he'll EVIDENTLY do lower damage and i didn't even include other resistances (masteries, other MR items, base MR was a made up #, runes etc.).

Q,W,E,R all do magic damage, his W does %max health in mgc dmg, guinsoos provides on-hit magic dmg, wits end provides on-hit magic dmg, nashor's tooth provides on-hit magic dmg. the only physical dmg he does is from his autos (which gets as high as 200 in late game), BoRK, Mallet, Runaans and maybe Triforce.

how can you say that he'll be taking his targets down fast if his numbers are lower?
Because % damage. It is based on who he is attacking. You still take the same amount of time to take the target down. They would have to buy a bunch of MR to compensate at which point they are falling to your physical damage.

??? where? If you did it surely wasnt here lmao.
Q,W,E,R all do magic damage,
your point being? Its not the bulk of his damage.
his W does %max health in mgc dmg, guinsoos provides on-hit magic dmg, wits end provides on-hit magic dmg, nashor's tooth provides on-hit magic dmg. the only physical dmg he does is from his autos (which gets as high as 200 in late game), BoRK, Mallet, Runaans and maybe Triforce.
Now youa re just listing off a bunch fo items. This doesn't account for jack.

yes but if they have lower HP and higher armor/magic resist, the % dmg you're doing is LOWER and the resistance reduction multiplicative is LOWER due to higher armor/MR.
if you have 100 HP and 100MR, Kog'maw does 7 magic dmg from his W, then is further reduced by the MR dmg multiplier calculator (100/100+MR) which is then 1/2. you then multiply 7*.5 which is 3.5
if you have 80HP and 110MR, kog'maw does 5.6 magic dmg and the multiplier is .48, kog'maw does 2.6 magic dmg
if you can't understand this simple math just please stop replying

Again this is negligible. The physical damage you do (which, you know, is a lot more significant than the %HP damage you do as kogmaw since you are building AD as and crit) far outweighs the 10 damage you lose form W passive. If they rush MR for you instead of a proper item like Randuins , they will be overall shooting themselves sin the foot, especially since you have access to Bork.
kog'maw's standard build doesnt have crit besides runaans. you clearly dont have any experience with kog'maw
kog'maw builds bork, rageblade, runaans, mallet, wits end, boots - this is the standard build that is used among the kog'maw community. seeing as you have little to no experience i'm just gonna stop talking to you and instead speak to kog'maw players cya
You DO know Bork does %HP PHYSICAL Damage right?
Speaking of not knowing what you are talkign about.
%current hp in physical dmg so the lower they are, the less you do and YOU'LL DO EVEN LESS WITH HIGHER RESISTANCES. JSUT SIT DOWN AND DO THE FUCKIG MATH
[{quoted}](name=General KogMaw,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=gAEmYPE4,comment-id=0001000000000000000000000000000000000000,timestamp=2017-04-15T03:02:45.057+0000)

The resistance we are talking about is MR tho. It being current is irrelevant here, its still damage that isn't being mitigated by the MR because it isn't magic, so plz take your own advice and take several seats m8.
They are either itemizing Armor early on or Magic resist early on, they cant do both.
The argument that you are doing so much more magic damage than physical to where the physical damage doesn't make up for it (somehow) when presented with this is utterly dumpstered.
