Pathing has gotten absolutely craptastic the last few patches... or I just come across those extreme cases more.
In this case its pathing and not minion hitboxes
You were clicking to attack the enemy champs (either Kindred or Garen) which means that since you are out of range, pathing tries to find the quickest path to them. The thing is that pathing autocalculates to constantly find the quickest route, which means that if it changes, your pathing will change. Since the enemy minions are moving towards you, and the enemy champ that you are targeting is moving away from you, pathing is constantly recalculating the fastest route to either side of the minion, which slows you down. And in this case, their aren't even a lot of minions.
So in reality, nothing out of the ordinary is happening. Yes, it feels bad that it happens, but there are things that you can do to avoid it. For instance, you could click on the ground just on the opposite side of the downed turret to move away from the minions and towards the enemy, while not having pathing change because of the enemy moving and causing the pathing to recalculate because of that. Then, once you are either around the minions or in range, you right click the enemy champ. Its tough to think of doing that because at that moment you probably have some adrenaline after coming off of a teamfight where you are chasing down low health members to finish them off, and it happens to the best of us. But those little things are what separate great players from good ones
one time 2 minions blocked my champion in the same spot until the enemy team came to kill me.
I threw a thresh lantern at my feet when next to a wall and I got snared until the lantern disappeared. I couldn't move at all for like the whole 6 seconds, I then died because the enemy found me. It was so miserable because I was not even surrounded on like all sides minus one. It was literally wall next to wraiths that goes towards middle. So it wasn't even a straight wall, it was curved FOR me.
Honestly, you deserve worse.
Not only because you play MF, but also because you could just turn right/left
Other people wrote more in detail but it was not minion blocking that was the issue, it was pathing.
You clicked to attack a moving enemy champ, game tries to plan the quickest route there but between the minions moving around and enemy champs also moving the path rapidly changes which causes the "path calculator" to just flip out.
You´d most likely not have this issue if you just clicked on the ground nearby instead of directly on them, especially not if you adjusted your path just slightly to not directly collide with minions.
