I don't see Zoe as a high-elo mid-lane champion

I'm not high-elo, but I've played with quite a few.

Zoe seems like a good champion to capitalize on mistakes with. A majority of her mobility relies on her opponent's mistakes or usages of item passives. In addition, a majority of her damage relies on her Q which can hit minions. Her sleep is a trap but a lot of the time, that would require her to have good preparation. And once her Q is down, she's pretty free to eat up. I do see her as a high-elo support though.

I wanted to see anyone else's thoughts.

Does Zoe look like a high-elo mid-laner or more of a support for high-elo?

She has better q, w, e than ahri. Ultimate is debatebal. Though passive wise Zoe has better passive.

She is def a solid midlane pic from the looks.

I dunno, Zoe's Q looks like it needs setup because you can see that thing coming from a mile away

Flexible harass spell - check

Burst - check

Waveclear - check

Roaming potential - check

Escape potential - check

Pick potential - check

Utility - check

I'm really really confused how you can't see her as a mid laner. Sure she might take a bit of time to get used to, but I would even say she is going to be another generalist mage that can be picked into nearly anything like Orianna Cassiopeia Taliyah Syndra that have been viable picks nearly all season.

Escape potential is debatable because her ult puts her back in the same place. Maybe if the enemy flashes and it goes to a spot you can pick up safely.

Her escape potential comes from her w increased movement speed

Right now a good Midlaner is defined by Waveclear+Roaming. You have those - you're do fine.

Eveything else (CC, DMG, snowball, reliability) is trivial right now. Controll you lane, snowball your Bot -> gg.

She screams Jungler to me. Being able to steal enemy Smites and then use those to steal their monsters, or setting up ganks wtih her sleep trap.

Shes not a support at all. If I had to guess Im gonna say mid/jungle

Looks like a support to me. Her Q doesn’t have a big enough AoE to properly shove the wave and it’s also her major damage spell. Furthermore, her sleep breaking on damage means it’s more useful against a duo when you can get the full duration on one target while you safely beat up the other.

Meh. I can't picture her, in her release state, being a good mid laner at all. The only way she is going to succeed is against either very bad players or players that have no idea what she does.
