LoL Take Notes From Smite

If a hero in Smite is seen as overpowered, they dont nerf it, they instead buff others. Making all heroes op.

If a champion in League is seen as overpowered, it gets nerfed to the ground, making nobody want to play it for months, Riot sees this, buffs it, sees it is overpowered again, nerfs it to the ground.. again.

ekkos kit was busted from the start. thats why bruiser ekko became better than ap ekko.

its what happens when you build % damage into the kit of a champion whos meant to build squishy. ive even seen single threads pop up about people starting to buiuld bruiser vayne with mallet and triforce.

i disagree ya ekkos ult was pretty op, with him being able to dive the just ult out but other champs can do that to

For real, again? We already had this discussion, the problem with Ekko (or Fizz) is not their % damage, because it is in %MissingHP. There has been plenty of other Tanksassins who did not have % damage at all and who still were a problem (Tank Yi, Yasuo)...

it doesnt matter in which form. % damage is usually a tool for champions to stay relevant and deal reliable damage when theyre building otherwise full defense.

a lot of bruisers have either high base damage or % damage in their kits for that reason.

giving an assassin or carry % damage, be it missing health damage, max health % damage or current health % damage, naturally gives them incentive to build full defense over full offense.

bruiser fiora had the same issues. so did bruiser fizz.

That's just not true. Everything you described is about %MaxHP and to a lesser extent about %CurrentHP.

On the other hand, %MissingHP is pretty crap if you go full defense. How do you reduce their HPs to a point where your %Missing starts to kick in, if you go full defense? %Missing is good for executing people, as a finishing blow. It's for burst mages and assassins, and that's precisely who gets it. All those bruisers you're talking about, guess what? None of them has %MissingHP.

Also, just empirically, you can see that other Tanksassins emerged without any %MissingHP damage, so that's clearly evidence this is not the problem with Tanksassins in general. I mentioned Yasuo and Yi in the previous post, but you can also add Akali to that list.

nerfing 1 overpowered champion is safer than buffing a 129.

that being said, its not like champions shouldnt be buffed ever, but its not possible in this game with so many champions to buff everyone else, when 1 champion significantly stands out.

Yes but then it just goes into their endless cycle of nerfing and buffing.

Riot made a post about "Is it possible to balance all champs". And they said 'no'. But there is, the only problem, is that they keep repeating history. They nerf a champ to the ground, realize that people suck with it. They then give it a small buff, people say the champ is still garbo, it gets buffed again, and now its an OP champ, then it repeats.
