ItsCalledALance·Feb 4, 2016·1 votes·288 views

Example?

Udry. 3 days ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/43z5wm/udyr_currently_has_the_highest_jungle_win_rate/

Stats:

http://champion.gg/champion/Udyr

makes the front page of reddit, and his play rate goes up by 4 times, and his win rate goes up by 5%

Suddenly hes OP and needs nerfing.

The league community is, in effect, an optimization engine. In each iteration some things will be more optimal than other things. Sometimes they take time to find. The champion is not suddenly OP, the community has simply reached the iterative solution of Udyr playing and it is successful.
