Should all champions be balanced against a 10,000 gold budget?

The loss of global gold from towers and dragon hurt a bit, but jungler and support champions are now making more $$$ than ever. The problem? What happens when the Sona who used to get only about 30004000 gold in selfish stats (HP, AP, Mana) suddenly reaches 800010,000 gold by the end of the average 40 min game?

As we've seen, balance just flies out the window!

Should Riot go over all the champions and rebalance them against a new gold benchmark with base and ratio adjustments?

So how is reaching a power curve at 40min unbalanced?

It's not. The problem is that some champions are hitting their 40 min mark at the 20 min one!

The mantra for supports used to be "Do as much as possible, little as little gold as you can."

But now we have ward trinkets and items like Frostqueen. The Alistar that would only get mobility boots, Heart of Gold, and Kaye's Lucky Pick are now getting an abundance.of gold. And it tends to result in one.of two things.

"I have no scaling, so I'll go pure durability" Or "I'll buy Sheen/Lichbane then Q everyone to death in lane!" coughSonacough (Who may I remind you is being nerfed, again.)

...and? Now tank supports can actually tank and AP supports can actually be a form of threat (dang, I guess you can't just literally ignore the support now). It used to be that support got MAYBE 1-2 items + their sightstone and had to spam wards everywhere. Now they can actually have a build and be useful now.

That's kind of my point. o_o

All I'm saying is that Riot should rebalance things for this, since they never envisioned people like Sona having the $$$ for actual items.

(Like how about letting Alistair have an actual ratio on his passive and heal in exchange for a small reduction to his base values? With the end result being him actually being able to use his new source of gold in a satisfying way.)
