I see the trend of:

Lucian MissFortuneGraves Corki Ezreal Jinx Draven

being great ADCs and I realize that while their damage output is ridiculously high, no one bats an eye at their mobility.

You can also see a trend of:

Sivir Ashe KogMaw Varus Twitch

being underplayed, and weaker, because of their vulnerability. They have underwhelming and conditional mobility Sivir or have none at all Ashe Varus KogMaw

Meanwhile Lucian Ezreal GravesTristana have refundable dashes, jumps, and blinks, MissFortune has constant high movement speed, Corki has a damage-dealing jump (and a periodic mega-jump)

Now I know that there are other factors that make them stronger / weaker (damage, utility, wave clear) but mobility is one that cannot be ignored.

Agreed, but you need to understand all adcs have their specific team comp. Whether its "protect the adc team comp" or "let the adc self peel". Point is, every adc doesnt require a dash/jump, etc. to be viable. Its up to your team composition if you choose to play someone like twitch.

I do agree. Very much. I just feel like in solo queue it's less protect the Adc and more let him peel for himself and I feel mobility strives there.

agreed. we need moe champions like poppy who can specifically block dashes, blinks and jumps.

now this would be an interesting support or tank item. imagine you chain an enemy directly to you for a few seconds and only allow him to move within a certain radius. if he tries to dash, or jump out of the area, the ability fizzles.

If you're considering MF and Jinx as strong picks: then yes, yes it can.

Worth mentioning mobility isn't a black and white thing as well: from MS boosts, enemy-targeting dashes, ground-targeting dashes, and low CDs: mobility runs a pretty wide range in kit power. Jinx and MF both have very little mobility, and with base MS not being 0: they don't have much of a speed advantage on champions without any kind of abilities with mobility.

Issue with mobility and viability has more to do with the trade-offs involved in having the mobility in the first place. If a kit is overloaded with to much power and not enough weaknesses/trade-offs: chances are you'll have ok mobility just due to having a little to much of everything. Alternatively, if a kit has to many weaknesses and trade-offs: chances are you'll just have to little of everything, mobility included.

More a matter of correlation than connection.

Do trends not show correlations?

I agree with what you stated though
