Ideas for hecarim nerfs that don't gut his jungling.

I have some ideas for some hecarim changes.

Q: mana cost changed to 30 at all ranks. No longer deals reduced damage to monsters (still reduced damage to minions).

W: Maximum healing off of minions reduced (I can't think of good numbers for this change). Healing off of monsters unchanged.

Honestly, these changes should be enough to push him off of his throne in top lane and help his jungling (where he belongs).

Is Hecarim even an issue any more? I haven't seen him played in weeks.

He is still highly contested in lcs and solo queue. Honestly he isn't that strong imo, but people are whining about him and I don't want riot to gut him like last time.

He's not an issue, I hardly see him either. He is strong in the current meta. He was flavour of the month for a bit too long though and will continue to be nerfed until he isn't FoTM. Balance has little to do with it, which is unfortunate.

I'd say just make it so he can't receive his Passive Bonus AD on Homeguards enchantment.

Watching TL Quas on Hecarim was so boring tbh. All he ever did was Homegaurds Teleport on Hecarim and chunked like 30% of his targets health and won the fight and everyone called him a god play maker for it especially in a meta where tanks are dominating without any repercussions.

Then again he played him top but it's still it doesn't take much to just get Homeguards and rush onto someone's face from base.

Hecarim is supposed to do that...... His passive exists for that reason.

This is the whole point of playing Hecarim, his passive is what makes him unique and fun and the synergy with homeguards is one of the main reasons he is fun to play.

If you find watching hecarim boring then don't watch him.

That's really good advice thanks I'll make sure to not look at a Hecarim when I play League or watch my favorite NA teams compete. If there's a Hecarim in a game with teams I like then I will not support my favorite teams whatsoever tyvm, friend!

But really l think they should nerf the base damage OR the movements speed bonus on his Devastating Charge. If you plan on maxing out the damage via Homeguards/item actives then losing a few points in the base or speed increase shouldn't freak out Hecarim players at all. It would just mean you actually have to fully ram into your opponent to deal good damage and to be used as hard cc utility first and foremost and a damage source from his kit second.

Is Hecarim that bad for top lane, at least he isn't ranged cancer.

I think they already said they're increased the mana costs on his Q but removing the reduced damage to monsters. Nothing about his W though.

but i want a support pony :( who i can gloriously ride into battle.

Not by too much though - we don't want Hecarim out of top lane, just slightly weaker.

Not only are these good fixes to his current problems, they're the changes that should have been implemented instead of his W buff.

I just hope they are as cautious with their nerfs as they are with their buffs.

None of this buffing stuff by a tiny amount then just straight up gutting a champ with ridiculously massive nerfs in one go.

There are far more unbalanced things than Hecarim who isn't even unbalanced to begin with, I haven't even seen a single omg hecarim OP thread recently and in my last 200 or so normal games I've seen hecarim on the enemy team like twice.

Riot balance team is a bit of a joke tbh.
