Why I miss Team Builder.... a lot.

Were the queue times longer? Yes. But you know what? It was worth every second. I would rather wait 10-15-20 minutes waiting for a team that I wanted to be on or for a team that accepted what I wanted to play, then wait 1-3 minutes for a team that 90% of the time is going to be angry because someone got autofilled or find myself being autofilled myself.

I could play what I wanted, where I wanted and how I wanted. If people didn't like it? They left. If they tried to flame me for my selection, I'd kick them from the room.

I could choose what champions I wanted to play with. I could play with whoever I wanted.

It's the difference between waiting 3-5 minutes for five low quality cheeseburgers at White Castle http://i.imgur.com/3iG1TtJ.jpg Eww...

And waiting 15-25 minutes for a marvelous mouth watering gourmet cheeseburger at Red Robins http://i.imgur.com/MI0FL0l.png LOOK AT THAT GLORIOUS THING!! LOOK AT IT!!!!

Now I miss Team Builder and I'm hungry. Excuse me while I head to Red Robin.

The second burger has onions. That's disgusting. Five standard cheeseburgers for me, ty.

Onions are blessed get out of here.

White Castle burgers literally only come with cheese and grilled onions on them. There are no other options. Mostly because they are perfect, and you don't fuck with perfection.

Now, see, grilled onions are fine. They don't try to murder my tongue; And for that, they are friends. (until I eat them)

Yes, now I believe that is worth waiting for. Even for 15 minutes (which is rather bad service, if you ask me)

I agree. TT_TT I don't really mind getting autofilled( I'm a support main so it rarely happens anyway. XD ), but it was nice to be able to experiment without causing your team to rage at you before the game even started. I love experimenting but rarely do so anymore because I know it is likely to cause people to say surrender at 20 before the game even starts. :/

What sucks is that there are plenty of us don't care what you want to play as long as its in norms. Myself and most of my friends couldn't care less. You want to play something wacky? That just means we can do the same. As long as you're actually trying your best and not just trying to troll and ruin the game for others, none of us are going to give you a hard time, particularly if you give us a heads up in champ select. There are some of us that still just like to have fun. It would be nice if there were just some way to connect all of us so we can bypass the people that take things a little too seriously.

I will say things seem to have gotten better this season. I'm not sure if it's the addition of ranked flex as a bridge between norms and solo ranked, or if it's Ziggs seeing success botlane, but I'm seeing a lot more unconventional choices in my games. Like close to half my normal games have someone playing something like Victor bot, or Leblanc jungle. I could be wrong, and maybe I'm just getting lucky, but that's been my experience so far this year and I am all for it.

EDIT: Don't go trashing White Castle burgers. Those things are like fast food crack: When you live two and a half hours from the closest one you'd stab a hobo just to get a taste.

In my experience (bolded because people tend to take things as absolute facts) people either disbanded after 30 minutes of no supports or they picked whatever the first support was so they could actually play a game that day, even if it was support Mundo with Clarity and Ignite. And even when I got to play what I wanted it could still be a terrible game that I just waited 30 minutes to join. Compare that to you waiting 30 minutes for your Red Robins burger and it's burnt and they forgot to put the cheese on it. I actually had higher quality games in Blind Pick, no one was frustrated for being in queue for half an hour or not getting a good team comp (no flexibility in the picks, you'd have to kick them and hope someone joined with the right champion) and I would gladly take Support if no one else wanted to. Again, personal experience. Yours may vary.
