Wait so the Reason Poppy was nerfed because of a Biased rioter?

After watching this it all makes sense now, it's because a Rioter actually lost to Poppy or hated watching a pro player playing her. No wonder teemo got nerfed back in the days for god knows what reason. Unique champion balance is based on Rioter biased hate towards those champions.

Or because they actually needed that. Poppy and Teemo used to be two of the most oppressive and obnoxious champions in the game - everyone hated them and the only solution was nerfing them to be subpar - same as Yorick.

We need oppressive champion in league because there are way to shutdown specific champions. If Nasus could farm freely in lane and that all your harrass would do 0 damage on him while being able to solo kill you do you think it's fun? Do you think that letting Jax free farming without any form or way to shut him down before he gets big? Oppressive champions are needed in league because of ridiculously strong champions that need to be put on a leash.

So the answer to oppressive champs is even more oppressive ones with little to no counterplay?

Nobody agreed, they got nerfed, and most eventually reworked.

Nasus and Veigar or Late game hyperscaling are not oppressive champions they are TimeBombs, have you ever watch pro stream that some point they just give up on the game after seeing the enemie jax becoming extremely hard to deal with? That's because there is no way to with hyperscaling champions they can splitpush, solo objectives, murder more than 1 champion at time and excel at every skirsmish, that is how strong they are in solo queue.

Well either your builds are weird enough that you are dealing no damage or you are not playing correctly against them. I have played both nasus and Jax and I have found that literally any champ with a spammable ranged ability/AA is oppressive.

There is another way to shut down specific champs, it’s called focusing. During a team fight focus that specific champ, and usually he/she can’t escape. ESPECIALLY NASUS OR JAX. Nasus has 0 escape abilities besides flash, and Jax can’t really escape from you in the jungle if he doesn’t have any wards. It is pretty hard to be a late game monster when their entire team CC chains you.

EDIT: sure focusing a fed enemy ain’t the best solution, but it is one none the less.

Poppy, even in her current weakened state, is a bot lane meta defining support who directly makes certain picks/comps near unplayable with her in play. Youd need to ban out both her and morgana to get many of the comps to work.

I mean poppy can spam her passive constantly over and over again in quick succession late game. With each being 20% hp shielding... Q does hp% that does a load of damage no matter what champ it is/ spamable too.
