How to be effective late game as an assassin?

Hello everyone!! Assassins strive on 1v1 engages, and most assassin kits are build to excel in the early to mid game. The problem is that once you hit late game their power falls off significantly even if fed. I’m a 5v5 team fight situation if you’re playing a melee assassin it can be frustrating because if you go into the fight to use your abilities you either get caught up in cc, or get hit with enough AOE damage to 100-0 you. My question is how can you still be effective in team fights when playing as an assassin?

Hunt down priority targets. Consider flanking priority targets and don't be the first to go in, it's okay to wait for teamfight to start, wait for some cc or key abilities to get blown before unloading your full combo on their mage or adc.

In the teamfight wait for people to use spells then go in. If you've been doing your job your team should be in a position to say for an example make a lulu pop her ult. If you're not in that position though then you're gonna get clicked on
