Link between KDA and Winrate?
Do you guys think there's a strong link between having a good KDA and your ability to consistently carry a game?
Is it completely inconsequential? Even supports who have low kills earn high assists (or should).

there's obviously some correlation, you're not going to get very far going 1/10/2 every game. But it's not the most important factor, no.
there is none mostly because of shit heads who spam surrender vote to save their kda instead of playing on to try to turn the game around
Honestly? There is to a point but it depends on how you interpret it. Being a 2 kda but having your deaths constantly result in 2-3 kills for your team and an objective is better then having a 5 kda where you only ever pick up a kill and then go back to farming.
I tend to find that, for this reason most of the time I best prefer someone around a 3.5-4.5 kda. Higher then this and I tend to assume that it is because they never put themselves in a spot where they take a death so that their team can take much needed objectives. Of course, this is not a be all end all rule. There is definitely players out there with lower kda's who provide more to their team or high kda's who are just far superior.
I once had an account in d1 elo with a 78% win rate and 17.5:1 kda on lux
so yes
Short answer, as long as you're not just farming your KDA it counts for a lot.
LoL has a lot to do with efficiency. Efficiency of movement. Efficiency of CC usage. Efficiency of what you contribute to your team before you die.
