IIRC, no one got mana manipulator and even worse mana regen is nerfed. Part of me wants to say if an ADC is running out of mana too much, stop using skills or pick up a
early. Then there's the "riot hates auras #LCSBIGPLAYS!!!" issue to an aura item. People get solari but that's about it for aura stuff. I don't think people get
or even remember it's in game.
used to have an aura but riot nerfed that.
All that said I'm not against the idea so let's explore it for fun.
For starters, which item should it build out of:
,
, or
? Give
a mana aura as well as a healing aura? Maybe even give it a "mana shield" which gives all allies a small boost of max mana?
Another question: when should supports get it? Mana issues tend to be early game stuff. In the early game you have to rush sightstone and your normal support item generally. I tend to rush tear and chalice on soraka, chalice on Sona/Nami, and it depends if I was fed or feeding on Leona but generally people don't do that. So for their sake, when do they get that support item?
Third question is which stats am I getting out of this for me and how much am I supposed to pay for this on top of all the "real" support items? If I'm on Leona I need tank and want a TF. If I'm on Sona/Nami, I'm probably leaning towards some AP. If I'm on soraka I'm building CDR/Mana/AP glass cannon. I can't speak for other supports because I only Janna rarely and don't play any other ones. I mean why should I help an ADC who can't manage his mana pool buy wasting my limited funds on top of all the other stuff I have to do for him. Does he want me to CS for him too?

;)
So which champ do I want to build this on? The healers? If so chalice would make the most sense, but supports are supposed to go mikeals usually from that item. Tanks? Any of the three would work with the right item to be paired with. The I'm really a mid crowd? Any of the 3 items would work, but they'd probably want to build their normal AP mid items after sightstone.
This is just another reason I hate the
rework, in the past if I knew my ADC needed mana I'd just pick her in champ select.
