I remember earlier this year Riot mentioned something about more bans
Not sure if they actually said that, but pretty sure we actually need that. 6 bans for 50 champions still 6 bans for 130 champions doesn't seem right to me

Yes. And if you really read it all, you would know they are THINKING about it and that it is LIKELY to happen.
Which in Riot terms means: it won't happen until skin sales drops rapidly again and Tencent squeezes their balls.
They probably going to implement this once they get rid off air client completely. I just hope this time to come as soon as possible.
With the amount of champs now and all those yet to come I don't think it's unreasonable for the 5 bans per team. At the very least I think 4 are needed per team.
