This meta will destroy League of Legends

Preface: If you at any point feel the need to type something along the lines of "get good kid" while reading this please recognize you're a part of the problem within this community and leave the thread.

Short game history: I started playing this game in early January and since then I have had three accounts, two level thirties and now this one I am posting from. My first ride through was fun, I saw each champion as something of a challenge to play and found myself constantly asking my Diamond 5 roommate which champion's were considered good, which would require more time on my part etc. I did my promotions and got silver two right off the bat increasing to gold 4 until I began a smurf to become better at the game through being forced to play positions and/or champions I wasn't comfortable with. That account started silver two and climbed onto gold 2. As of now I am on this account to accomplish the same as my last.

Problems I find with the game: I fully understand it is pre-season and it will take awhile to get the kinks out of the game but they are in dire need. While on this account it has been obvious to me that I have been matched with and/or played against people of higher mmr than my other accounts. The latter has been proven through use of lolnexus etc. Wherein matchmaking I have been placed on a team of all unranked vs high golds, platinums and even diamonds. This in itself isn't a problem as I enjoy a challenge, why I play this game, but the current item sets, masteries etc. make the game's victories decided within the first 5 minutes of play. The past 13 games I have been a part of have been complete and udder stomps to the toon of 8-33, 5-27 scorelines with a team gold discrepancy ranging from 10-15k. Champions that used to not have burst now burst, others simply don't die, the creep agro/creep block in place means I cannot harass an assassin in mid lane as a medium ranged mage as I will end up taking more dmg from his creeps than I do to him-thus at lvl 6 when zed places his head upon the keyboard I die, or fizz whom is able to dodge turret shots with a 7 second cd ability, does the same.

The meta of this game has shifted so dramatically to ad/assassins, the abuse of rage blade etc. that mages now completely hold the burden of outplay in midlane, mages such as brand are hallmark of "support" and toplanes/jungles such as jax or xinzhao are an automatic win if the game goes beyond 30 minutes due to general farming, devourer and past mentioned items. (be it the teams are equally matched)

I honestly feel this game has been dumbed down to just who can abuse the system faster wins. It feels black and white lacking any outplay potentials outside of flash for champions with poor mobility /item dependency. Theres a reason such few champions out of the 120+ have alarmingly high play rates. They are easy to play and challenging to outplay when picked against a play rate below 8%. - why even have the others as playable characters?

I enjoy this game a lot, I have put a disgusting amount of both time and money into it and don't want to simply abandon it due to games like this. What I mean is, the games I enjoy, the heart felt team victories, are no longer there. it literally is solo queue. I SHOULD NOT be able to go 16/2/1 twenty minutes into the game without buying mejais and neither should my opponent. If it is the current matchmaking system I am in due to my account being a smurf and it will level out once level 30 has hit so be it, but if it continues after I will honestly consider quitting this game.

TLDR: I am losing interest in League of Legends due to either a flawed matchmaking system that pits extremes against one another wherein a 20 minute stomp is the norm, or simply the item sets/masteries/champion kits(including ratios and/or straight up base dmg) are so unequally balanced to compete within the same game leaves me unable to find joy whether I am winning or losing due to the nature of the victory (5-27 ff@20)

I personally don't experience most of the problems you are talking about. Perhaps it's due to different elos.

I confess, I only skimmed through and read the TLDR but I generally have some pretty good matches with what seem like equal skilled players. And I personally think there are more champs that are viable now than ever
