Can we make Sejuani viable(worth picking) again?

I just love her personality and her kit but the TLDR of the matter is, unlike pre-nerf Sejuani she literally does no damage... Thus not worth picking over lets say malphite (Ult purposes)

Been playing her a few times recently, won every match. She seems plenty viable. Lots of CC and good initiation. Especially with her W doing percent of health as damage, combined with Liandries, she really puts the hurt on high HP champions.

I've found the same thing. She has great (and safe!) initiation, mobility without limitations (doesn't need a target, no charge time), plentiful and spammable CC, and good consistent damage over the course of a fight.

She doesn't provide the most burst damage but her sustained damage, CC, and ganks more than make up for it.

Out of curiousity, how are you building her? My final build typically looks something like the following: item 3047 item 1409 item 3110 item 3065 item 3075 item 3151 item 3364

I like it since it provides 30% CDR, a good mixture of defensive stats, good consistent damage to multiple targets, and the synergy between Frozen Heart and Liandry's Torment (since attack speed slows count for doubling the burn damage).

You want some fun? Start item 3025 after cinderhulk.... it adds a lot of burst to her kit without sacrificing too much armor slot

I've tried Iceborn Gauntlet before (admittedly before it was changed in pre-season). While it worked pretty well, I personally prefer Frozen Heart for the attack speed slow (both to reduce enemy DPS and to amplify the damage of Liandry's Torment) and gold efficiency.

I don't really feel that I need the additional burst damage on Sejuani and I have enough CC without itemizing for more.

It's definitely not a bad option though; I'm just not a fan of it personally.

I feel you man, I'm just giving up options to my fellow sejuani players. I personally like to go item 3083 after cinderhulk just because i can tank pretty much everything on hp alone during mid game so i can dive mages and adc alike while rushing Fh leaves me a tad vulnerable to the mage

Vulnerability to mages can be a risk if you rush Frozen Heart, but the increased uptime on your abilities (especially the mobility and CC) is magnificent.

If I think it will actually be an issue, I'll typically grab either two Ruby Crystals or a Spectre's Cowl before building Frozen Heart (since both options build into by MR item later).

I didn't mention it, but I take Strength of the Ages for the additional health. That provides a nice buffer to help deal with magic damage in mid-game (and provides more health for W and resistances to scale with).

I grab the keystone that saps HP, Strength of ages was nerfed considerably so is harder to stack it up right now (takes double the time) so is not worth the extra HP you get early game anymore.

I honestly don't know where people are coming from with all the "Sejuani is trash" talk.

I played her in the peak of the Cinderhulk meta and I still play her now. She's obviously not as strong, but I still see her as an extremely viable pick (I'd only not pick her against a Vayne, am still traumatized about the last time).

And I don't see how people think she doesn't do any damage either. Sure, she's not Lee Sin, she has no burst, but she does deal damage if she can stick to her target, and it's quite a lot on the early and late game.

Sejuani and Skarner are still my favourite tank junglers. I haven't really played Rammus much since Ranger's Trailblazer was removed, the only times I tried I struggled really hard. But Sejuani is in a really good spot right now, in my opinion.

Is not that she is trash, she is a tad underpowered but you can still pull her off decently. Is just that Amumu outclasses her in pretty much every area that people don't seem to find a reason to play her

Unfortunately Sejuani is a late game champ in a meta where games are ending very quickly, thus is not on the same par with other junglers at this time. Most people on the boards agree her damage was nerfed too far so you have a valid point. She will probably remain a bottom tier jungler until games start going longer or Riot decides to make her flail of the northern winds a little stronger.
