Is it weird that I find supports to be rather boring to play?

So in my last game, I tried out for the first time. I found his kit to be kinda useful, but it's boring in terms of entertainment value (hint: ult is best ult) . So I shred top with , barely doing any damage early on. Barely got any minion kills, but an lot of assists. The match progressed and now I was getting an few champion kills, but it wasn't enough for me; I wanted an champion who could easily farm an lane, and I had made another mistake here. Not even a few minutes of me taking objectives to win couldn't fill the void. In the end, I got around 51 IP and a disappointing game because of addiction and I had to pick an guy who can't farm an lane in an swift manner. R.I.P. my hope for support champions. I already hate because I usually travel alone and what good does an shield does if I'm farming jungle and split-pushing? I didn't like 's passive since, again I travel alone, which makes it rather useless. is an bit on the okay side since I was doing better in jungle than in top lane. is just boring to play. I'm sorry, but walking slow is ok; but you better hit hard enough to reimburse your speed. But instead, he's mainly CC-based.

Now I'm kinda curious as to how many of you people enjoy support champions.

Support is an inherently boring role. You're not getting the kills, you're just setting them up for your teammates (unless you play as Nami and just steal kills from your ADC)

Zilean is pretty fun as a support if you like the concept of running away. He basically has 1 attack. You can just do a lot with it is all. Other than that he's super hard to kill and the fastest champ in game.

First of all, you'd have more fun if you played these support champions in their intended role (aka bot lane with a partner as opposed to solo top or jungle).

Secondly, the support champions you listed all belong to the same archetype, and that is tank supports.

Consider the kind of champions you usually play, and/or what you are good at. Support champions can do a wide array of things to help their teammates, depending on who you pick. You should try different styles imo.

Good with control mages? Like utility? Good at positioning?

Like heavy poke champions? You wanna zone dem enemies?

Annie Alistar Blitzcrank Morgana Nami Thresh Zyra Leona <- yes, some of these are tank supports, but their playstyle is more engaging than Taric's and Braum's imo.

Sounds like you like faster gameplay and faster movement. I'd consider:

Janna fastest natural champion in the game (aka without using a temporary buff), moves through creeps, can easily go it an out in lane + roam between lanes and jungle Karma strong speed buff that she can share with team, low CD poke abilities Lulu ZOOM-ZOOM! Paired with low CD poke, and 2 abilities that are castable on enemies OR allies, giving her choices and making it so she always has something to do Nami AoE hard CCx2 that wins fight, decent speed buff in her passive, low CD poke and sustain Sona Sona is like Lulu in that she's always busy, busy, busy; she's always poking, or healing, or speeding up allies, or slowing enemies, or debuffing them, or stunning 4 of them and winning a team fight Zilean I don't play him but like the others he combines a strong speed buff and low CD poke that you could enjoy
