So how does one survive in PvP?

So here's what I've been doing with Darius lately. Go top, see an champion that I can't really fight, start wandering around the map to farm minions where the enemy isn't at. Team either starts falling apart in mid or we'll start gaining ground. If the former happens, I just spam /ff until it works or just farm jungle in minions if the enemy is fed. If the latter happens, I'll continue my split-pushing.

And since I'm used to playing on my own, I just stay out of teamfights unless they're in my way.

How is this wrong? The only one that I can truly rely on is myself.

I see your satire joke, and it is funny.

A few points here. First, you're playing Darius. Darius is exceptionally good during the laning phase (The first 10-15 minutes of the game typically) due to his strong dueling (1v1 fighting). As long as your enemy laner isn't more fed then you, just run up, and q-e-w them.

Secondly, League is a team game. You need to trust your team. However, don't assume that they are all as good or as smart as you all, we all make mistakes. To win League, you have to team fight most of the time. It's very rarely you can win a game through straight split pushing, 5v5 fights happen a lot, and you need to take part in them, especially when playing a fighter like Darius, who is typically a big part of team fights, with his large damage numbers, AD ratios, and tankiness.

Do you really believe this? If so, what do you think of all the people who end up playing Bot Lane, specifically Support?

Also, why would you presume it is called League of Legends, and not League of Legend?
