Why does riot refuse to not showcase URF anymore?

Which do you prefer and why?

urf had a very strong meta, if you didn't pick something meta your team would flame you for costing them the game since everyone wanted to tryhard the same champs over and over and.. (4 hours later) and over. there is also the empirical they found that urf lead to a large number of players leaving after the event. Personally for me Arurf would be better if its rng selection didn't somehow choose the same champ for me multiple times (singed again...)

This right here. I loved the idea of the original URF, and while i did enjoy it when it first came around, the harassment because I didnt pick X-champion meant that people should have the right to ask for death threats to me. People even now with ARURF still play it as if it were a rank match, but it was much more worse the first time around. People just cannot have fun, or their only means of fun is that they are winning 100% of the time!

By no means was this meta for anyone to follow and flaming is so easily solvable, just mute pings/players.

Nidalee and Lux, everywhere. I got bored of URF by the second year, all those BRING BACK URF GREATEST THING IN THE UNIVERSE ARGHWRFHJEW videos with corny music got a bit annoying.

It was a spam of champions with intargetablity like vlad and Fizz every game.

Basically, old URF made people leave the game for some reason. https://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/en-gb/2017/12/ask-riot-movie-honor-opponents-urf/ The new versions still have this effect, but it's not as bad as with regular URF.

There were two types of urf players, the ones who wanted to have fun and the ones that wanted to win.

Arurf is better. With old urf, all I did was spam blitz, nid, and alimoo. Arurf let me stomp with champions I didnt really play like riven, tf, singed, fiora. Arurf haters are pretty much people lacking champion breadth.

To be honest, I preferred the original URF, but that was because of the circumstances. In 2014, we never expected to get it - it was just an April Fools, but people just tried to figure out which champs were OP and fun. Barely anyone cared whether or not we actually won. They eventually permabanned certain champions from being picked over time, and this allowed players to try new champions. I don't wanna go back to the normal URF again, but I also want at least one game with a specific champ during ARURF, and I wish they could implement missions that could give you a "free pick token" for a single game. Another thing I'd love would be One for All URF(Please, Rito).
