Placement of Fresh 30 Accounts

I have always wondered why new players start at ~Silver 1 MMR (0/10 games). I have never seen a fresh 30 do well in their placements and almost every fresh 30 I have seen either demotes to bronze 3-5 after they place or never plays ranked again because they are scared to get demo from silver 5 into bronze. This occurred to me after ranking up a second account and I forgot what made mid Silver so frustrating...The amount of fresh 30's you run into is kinda amazing. They literally ALL feed. Think back to how bad you were when you just hit 30 for the first time and put that player on your team... imo It should be looking to place fresh 30's into bronze 3 and save them the trouble of spam demoting and costing all their teammates games in the process. Sure, it's not their fault that they are new, but it IS riot's fault for misjudging the skill of new players.

Tbh the problem then becomes higher elo players using this to troll. As I mentioned in a post earlier today I had a guy explain to me how he is plat, has 10 accounts at any one time that he uses to troll silver players to stop people getting to his elo. They drop to bronze and he just creates another account... I reported him but never heard anything back and I know riot let you know when they've taken action from your reporting so he's still out there doing it without consequence.

My theory is... Riot wants to hurt our MMR.

They don't want Silvers to become a Gold player because it's the only motivation for the majority of players.

At the same time, fresh players' MMRs are severely damaged, which makes them harder to get over Bronze since their LP gains are joke in the land of afks.

So if you want to play a solid game, you have to find a team. And these players tend to buy more skins.

I started playing league last august but held off ranked until this season. placed silver 3 but ive made mediocre progress at least.........

Oh and I know the MMR system is stacked against people climbing.

Im in S3 and will get close to getting to S2 with a win streak and then I will get 5+ games of people that should be in B5 and there is NOTHING I can do to win the game.

I create a new account and in normals Im playing vs Plat and Diamond players and Im SoloQ

Yes I know normals uses its own ladder but it uses the same algorithm but no promos and no stacking Silver with B5s
