Seriously? What is this dumb itemization? Everything builds out of long sword... I killed Talon with all the skills I have and he comes back in lane with 5 long swords and 1 potion and manage to kill me once. Then he recalls and turns his long swords into these... =.= Seriously there are soo much things this item builds into and they all gives secondary stats. like CDR, armor pen, movement speed, Lifesteal, Active slows.

item 1036 s are the backbone of all AD items item 1052 s are the backbone of all AP items

Mages need to actually complete items, where as some AD champions just need AD. There's also the cost difference and the fact the long swords builds into another component as well where as tome sometimes just sits there until you can actually finish the item.
