Should Locket of the Iron Solari's shield only work against magic damage?

Locket of the Iron Solari has always been intended to be an "anti-AOE mage" item, but its shield is used for more than that (even if it's weak). There's very few games where you don't see at least one player with a Locket, even if the enemy team has 3 ADs.

Now, this is just to hypothesize, but imagine if the Locket shield were changed to only block magic damage, but had a bit of a strength increase. Would that be a good or bad change?

it would have to be a larger shield imo if thats the case.

But i dont not like the idea.

I did say the shield would be stronger.

Nah, locket's fine where it is. If players want to buy it when against 3 ADs, that's their call. We're already seeing few enough AOE mages that I doubt locket needs to be made stronger against them.
