Can we get Report and Dodge for ranked?

Everyone's been there. You get into champ select and you wind up with a person who when he doesn't get exactly what he wants, he starts acting toxic in champ select. Then if you don't dodge, he proceeds to throw the game for your team.

Really the only option you have in this scenario is dodging because that's what he wants you to do so he doesn't have to wait 30 minutes instead of the smuck who cares about his LP/winrate more. This is an abuse of the system because it takes someone with the balls to accept the dodge penalty just so the other 3 people aren't screwed, but the guy with the balls is still penalized and the toxic troll/feeder gets away with whatever he wants. You dodge, he gets his way with the next group of chumps. You don't dodge and he'll make the next 30-50 minutes crap for you and 3 others.

The real question here is why is riot giving the advantage to the person being an A-hole? Why do we have to go through the procedure of either dodging or having to wait up to 50 minutes while the other team gets freelo to report a toxic player. I mean yes we can AND EVERYONE SHOULD report players like this, but still riot makes 4 people suffer (yes suffer) through the farce of a match while one jerk is getting his rocks off and the other team are going to get a free win.

Even worse is when someone like this pops up in a promotional match and you can't dodge or you lose your series. There's a lot of problems with promo games, but people throwing/going toxic in champ select is one of the worst. It's up there with the person who goes AFK the whole match.

What we really need in champ select is a report option that when you fill it out, it's treated as a proper report and you dodge the game. So you get to report people in champ select, but only if you are willing to put up with a dodge. I mean if someone is being that bad in champ select, it should be reportable then and there. If you are in a promo series, well the game will probably have to be counted as a loss so people don't abuse it, but the series should be allowed to go on unless this was your last game. As a plus side, having a feature like this will probably increase awareness for how bad promo series are altogether.

Just dodge and wait by watching Anime.

Every time I've had a person essentially troll like that I call their bluff - once out of the dozen times it's happened they actually went through with trolling. Letting people bully others into a dodge and putting a system in place to "report them" for bullying would create a whole new problem - false reports; so with this system you want would people then be punished for False Reports?

I tend to get the opposite. Last time I called the bluff my team got a support nasus that didn't build sightstone, didn't ward, stole our ADC's CS (don't think he got a FotM), and fed while not really helping the team or grouping. On purpose.

While I'm getting more comfortable dodging games, I also think that the champ-select bullies need to be dealt with before the game starts. I rarely see them improve their behavior once the game starts. In that case riot is basically telling people you have to lose LP and suffer for awhile because some entitled baby didn't get his one champ and is ruining things for everyone else.

False reports can still happen post game. However, we need to remember that the system riot has lowers the value of your reports the more you abuse them. So if you false report a lot, the system is basically going to ignore you.

While a ranked teambuilder would be nice, I'm not seeing it. So until riot can be bothered to release it, they need to do something as a stopgap measure. This would work.
