encouraging ziggs to go bot but discouraging kog'maw mid

kog had a ~1.5% play rate mid due to viability being shifted from AD to AP post patch 6.18. kog mid didn't make the game any easier with syndra and oriana being top picks and the occasional oppressive yasuo or zed. kog maw cleared too quickly and had pretty good harass which is how ziggs functions botlane. ziggs out pushes and out harasses the enemy adc leaving an open (and incredibly weak) tower.

if the main argument for kog is "he is supposed to be a marksman" then why does he have ap scalings on his abilities? the only ad scaling is his ult and it scales off of bonus AD which isn't built as much because of max output of W. you benefit more from building ap than ad but its discouraged. i honestly think its pretty hypocritical to allow "meta-breaking picks like Ziggs bot" (source: The Rift Herald) but restrict kog'maw ap midlane capabilities.

Kog Mid is not a very interactive experience. Ziggs bot at least has to commit, whereas Kog just used to throw E R and clear an entire wave just like that from the start.

You can dodge Ziggs' damage.

Kog does a % of your max health on undodgeable auto attacks with maxed out attack speed.

This is why.

ap kog'maw maxes W last (in contrast to AD kog'maw)

According to HuzzyGames on youtube who made masters last year, the only reason Ziggs is going bot is for the first tower gold, that's it. If he fails todo that its a wasted pick. As far as his comments about Kog as a champion in general, he hates kog right now as he considered kog tobe a weak pick during his a to z series going on currently. He states that Kog only becomes good if the game gets to the lategame full build stage. So early and mid game kog is bad reguardless of mid or bot.
