Tbh, this kinda goes with some of the junglers playstyles.
for instance have very weak ganking pressure, no matter what item they take, and need to farm up because they scale very well with items.
Ofc sometimes there are these opportunities and you can catch out someone and kill him. Ergo you should not farm 24/7 if you have good opportunities. But let's face it, other junglers are simply better than these. And no matter what you do to items,
won't become an agressive ganker with high gank success, simply because he does not have the necessary crowd control to make those work.
It has to do with the farming jungler's kit as well, not only the items.
BUT. I do think that sated is not a good thing right now. Tbh, post-nerfs Feral Flare was in a very good spot, an item like this would be fine. Very great clearing ability, little powerspike, flat on-hit sustain great for duels/skirmishes without making your damage potential off the roof and you can sell it lategame for a better item.
The problem is also that this item addresses two kind of people : carries that want to build crit itemization (
- though the last two aren't the most viable junglers I'd have in mind), and bruisers on-hit(
).
You could make a jungle item that scales well in late because you put multiplicative stats like crit/as with like,
as a component, and maybe giving lifesteal. And the simple nature of those stats would naturally put it as a weakish early-mid item.
But that item would not at all be what you want on someone like
where you'd prefer on-hit damage/as/on-hit enhancement.
Maybe Riot should even consider creating an item for each one of those classes. (one for crit carries, the other for on-hit bruisers)
