Both are toxic.

Aatrox can't be strong because if he is his sustain is super toxic. His design is toxic.

If talon can get a kill with his combo he is toxic. Feast or famine toxic.

JUST PLAY AS MINOINS. When you die, you respawn and fight more minions until one side finally wins, 3 hours later. The new League of Legends is here Folks. LCS is gonna be HUGE. i agree 100%. every champion has something toxic. whether it be Ezreal 's extreme saftey, Irelia 's dumb stun for losing trades, my guy Malzahar with his swarms of voidlings ripping people to shreads. hell Galio can heal from turret shots. There is no champion that has a 100% healthy kit besides maybe Velkoz but if i thought hard enough about it i could probably find something on him too

every champ is not as toxic as every other champ

irelia is especially toxic and is a posterchild of toxicity as are a handful of others

irelia is a special case though as she is a sort of "pioneer" champ or a member of a handful of champs that serve as the model for future designs a lot.

Here are some others who fall in the same category, some are toxic, some would be toxic if the meta wasn't designed to look more like them

Irelia is toxic as shit but is sometimes borrowed form to solve problems in other champs.

when she was made she was to be the new age melee champ meant to be the first to overcome the weaknesses of melee in a game where range is dominant

"When she is in a good spot" can mean a few things.

irelia is always playable but you play her in different ways. Irelia does not want to get triforce and go full tank right now which is good but it also means she will just shit on a lot of toplaners

When she can go defense ranged can go top but shouldn't expect to really be doing much. When irelia is in a healthier state ranged is safe top but when she is being more toxic she just poop poop poops on everything, she may lose but she still does fine, poking her has no meaning, her damage is through the roof relatively even though it hasn't really changed but she wants to build offense now.

Basically the game simply wasn't built for irelia and when she is healthy the game is not. They figured out that irelia is the problem not the game and that there is no clean solution to fix her except to increase the champion pool of actual champs and abilities and items and all that blahblahblahblahblah

Long story short,

irelia is the physically broken (damaged) prototype for a lot of other champs. She is like a mix of many other champs both kitwise and strategically but at the same time it is THEM who derive from HER. Champs like this are sometimes allowed to stay as they are for whatever reason but they are still toxic

note that toxicity has nothing to do with power in many cases, put bluntly.. toxic = a threat to the wellbeing and health of the overall game regardless of strength. If you nerfed irelia's abilities to do 10% of their current cc and damage she would still be toxic even with her 20% winrate after. She is a hodgepodge of all the things later champs would get new versions of.

They do the same thing with jax.. did you notice that riot has a thing for making champs hit you 3 times for effects that bypass defenses or champion weaknesses?

not all of these really fit probably but they don't just go reinvent the wheel everytime they make something. Jax is another one of the prototypes that is able to go for a while without massive changes while being toxic, they will revisit him later when they have a new concept.
