The joke was that these people play champions that have 0 impact on the meta and therefore could be removed without anyone noticing because of how rare they are. Basically they play garbage champions. Janna has tons of impact and is played all the time, that is why no one got that you were joking.

To be fair though, regarding Araethas post: Azir has a pretty big impact especially when he's getting into the 4-item+ department.

The only thing that makes him sub-par right now is how his enemies can abuse his utterly weak earlygame and completely wipe him out of the game. He might be the mage with the second to third strongest lategame threat of all mages (the other 2 being Cassiopeia and Ryze) just because 6 items make an eagle out of that little bird.

Well I didn't exactly mean the champion is useless, in the right hands any champion is strong. However there are stronger champions than Azir, this is done intentionally by Riot because of how strong he can be. By 0 impact on the meta I was referring to his actual presence in games, you don't pick Azir because you can pick better mages with equally good late games that don't require as much skill or effort (you mention Cass and she is a perfect example).

As a jungle main I have to ask: What top lane? There is bot lane (important, adc there!), mid lane (give him blue buff if I don't need it), dragon and baron I keep an eye on, enemy buffs I can steal... but what is that "top lane" some people keep talking about?

As a top laner, I'm perfectly okay with this, and loving the meta because of it. I can join in for team fights, and tp in when needed, and otherwise I just out play or get out played, and love it.

Impossible. If you removed the current top lane, then mid would just become the top lane. So you would still have top/bot, just no mid lane.

Unless you pull a smite, and make a right/left lane....

Well, with the Rylai's nerf not promising compensation for Mordekaiser and Top Lane gradually becoming more and more irrelevant, he is nothing but a wraith of his former self. As are most of us Top Lane mains. We just kind of suffer through most of the annoying champions in the game and then have little outcome on the match.

Imagine a lane where Yasuo, Camille, Riven, Darius, and Ekko can go all while also being a common place for Melee v Ranged match ups. THEN, when the game gets going, your lane has basically little to do with the rest of the match unless you ARE one of the champions named above. Everyone else just doesn't feel great to play since it's basically just a constant suffer to go through the lane. Only champion I have found good games with is Yorick.
