New champions should not be played in ranked since you can't play free champions

I don't know what is the logic behind letting new champions/reworks being played in ranked. What is the reason for free champions being disabled in ranked? Obviously because the player probably doesn't know the champion that well and ranked is made for winning not to have fun. So what is the logic behind new champions being able to be played in ranked... makes no sense. IF ANYTHING I would rather have someone play a free champion then a new champion because at least since the free one has been around for at least a while the player might actually know it's abilities. Please rito

This is a bit too harsh. Realistically there are people who spent money on the character, put the time into learning it, and deserve to use it in Ranked.

I agree with your sentiment, people feed their asses off because of not knowing how to play the champion.

I think it would be more fair to require people to play a certain number of games with a champion before taking it into Ranked.

I agree with your suggestion but when i said "disable from ranked" I meant only for a week or a bit more.

I feel you there. And I think you're right to want players to not feed in ranked on champions they are new at.

I respect your idea, but I still think my idea would be the more fluid option, something of a compromise that more players are likely to agree to.

If you buy the champ then you should be able to play him/her/it wherever you want as you've spent your currency on it. No need to exclude the newcomers.

No need for newcomers to feed their asses off because of not knowing how to play their champion.

It doesn't have to be as black/white as simply disabling them. Just requiring players to complete 3 to 5 AI or Normal games with that champion would be a good step.

You can ban out the new champ if you really don't want people feeding/playing as them. You always gamble when you play a ranked match, you don't know whether your team is going to be good or going to be bad. People could go into Intro Bot matches as well and just get those 3 to 5 games done within an hour and be right into ranked.

OP addressed it already, but I'll say it again here:

If your teammate wants to play the champion, you banning the champion will likely result in them acting toxic towards you. Nobody wants to deal with that.

There should be a better way to deal with nobody knowing the new characters than to draw the wrongful wrath of a idiot who wanted to ~~feed with~~ play the new champion in ranked.

What is wrong with not allowing them to not be played for at least 1 week? You can still play them in normals, you know, the place where you play for fun? Do you really think they "should be played anywhere" because you payed for it with game money... then tell me what is the reason for free champions not being allowed to be played in ranked?

Hmm, why do I think that you should be able to play a champ you paid for vs one you didn't pay for? Well it kind of speaks for itself, you can drive a car you paid for but you can't drive one you haven't (that is unless it's a friends/family). Your argument is literally "Why can you use the one you've pay for but not the one you haven't"

pbe accounts are free to get therefore new champs can be played there therefore new/reworked champs are going to be played in ranked alot and players wont care
