Make a votekick in champ select in order to get rid of trolls

Tired of trolls in champ select which make me have to dodge in order to lose less lp. Please make a vote kick so that if there is a troll someone can start a votekick and if all 4 players vote yes this guy will be kicked from champion select back into lobby while others get back in to queue, basically means I don't have to dodge anymore, the troll does.

Of course this does have some disadvantages such as 4 players voting yes to kick a bad pick but that's very unlikely and riot should have records of those votekicks in order to make sure no one's exploiting the system. Also from the records they can also give punishments to real trolls. This way I can go into champion select without the worry of having a troll in my team and will help me climb much faster.

Bro, in the current system that Riven could just dodge, and kicking someone should lose them 10 lp so no one is gonna volunteer. I'm tired of people calling good features that can stop trolls abusable. The only problem with this is, trolls aren't gonna say they're trolls until the game starts now, so it's a useless feature. I would rather make it so if a player trolls, and gets reported, Riot will look into the game and if they can see he trolled, refund his team's lp and give him all the negative lp his team would of took.

Losing LP on a kick is an even worse idea. "top, pick a tank or [Champion] or we kick." "If you pick Yasuo I'm voting to kick."

It's far too open to abuse. The problem is it's NOT a good feature if it's got blatent abuse cases without any way to prevent them.

How is losing LP on a loss a worse idea? Riot would have to review the game in order for it to happen, so it can't happen to a guy who's team just flamed him for being bad. And I can guarantee you that losing around 100 lp for trolling would discourage at least 90% of trolls from trolling in ranked. Sure, it would also take some extra work from Riot, but they should be willing to do it to stop the absolute worst people in their community.

I agree but at same time I understand the feeling. I had a sona jungle that refused to take smite, and still tried to jungle.

If I dodge that match, one where I would have lost for no fault of my own, I would be punished.

The current system gives to much power to twits with complexes and there is nothing we can do but tough out the match and report.

It's a pure lose-lose problem

I mostly play ranked mostly so going completely bonkers isnt my style. That's said, it doesn't sound too bad of an idea.

The amount of whining and crying over what people pick will increase. This community is too childish and petty to be allowed to kick people form a lobby. By childish I mean theyre delusional idiots that see someone die 3 times they call it intentional feeding (doesnt matter if theyre getting hammered by a duo que top and jg team) and want them reported.

Take that mentality, and watch people start calling for kicks on a player that wants to play a champ that got a minor nerft in the current patch.

Imagine an ADC/jg duo qued up and the ADC demands a tank support, and doesnt get it and they and their duo buddy vote to kick. One of the other two people voting go ahead and vote yes just to get out of the match cause if that ADC doesnt get their way and has to play with a non tank support their going to be a tilted crybitch the whole match. Its better to just cave to the crying demands and avoid that ADC eventual tilt than to vote not to kick.

Thats the main reason we cant have this in place. Someone will inevitably get high-strung and decide X champ isnt viable, call for vote to kick them, and get tilted from the lobby when they dont get their way. Then they will go into "punish people for not giving me what I want mode" and the pick you didnt want wont be what keeps you from climbing, it will be the "punish my teammates troll."

I agree with the system but not with the execution. Namely its easy to get out of a 4 vote majority by simply bringing a buddy. Plus in flex the entire thing comes crashing down. I'd change it from a vote kick to a vote dodge and simply require a majority. If the dodge goes through the person who initiate the vote cannot do so again for a day or so.

Correct, the worst trolls are duo trolls. It helps protect them from getting enough reports to be punished, and it gives them a "supportive voice" to say blame the support when theyre playing like shit and want to blame the support with backup from their duo buddy.

Duo trolls are really common. Think of a gang of rapist, or pedophile ring. Lowlifes tend to group up to share in each others sad amusements.

it only takes one report to flag a game for review.

This is not even.... wow, Im not going to try and breakdown how pointless that post is, but I will explain this...

If you have one person saying "Hey pls stop doing X" and they retort with some toxic nonsensical spew, and its backed up by the guys buddy... all the other people see is two people arguing and another player backing up the claims of one of those two. Then you have two people throwing blame on one player (often these players target either the jg or the support). Even if the other players think someone should be reported, theyre confused as to who it should be often and just skip it and move on.

So while it may only take on report for a case to be reviewed, it certainly takes more than "a report" to get punished, and because of the fact that a duo takes up 40% of a team, and two people spewing blame for a match at another player makes it confusing on who is ACTUALLY trolling then a duo protects from getting enough reports to be punished... Unless youre suggesting that all those reports Iv filled out with detailed info on how I was told to kill myself and how many times Iv reported someone for saying "im done" and going off to split push as the ADC have resulted in bans, then yeah... it takes "ENOUGH" reports to get someone punished.

Iv got some crying dipshit threatening to report me every fourth game it seems like, and if it "only took one" Id be banned by now. Im sure the case review does something I havent seen the warning for "my behavior" since I was able to que for draft and get out of the blind pick sewer. So revel in your fantasy that "one report" will somehow catch a toxic player, and also enjoy the notion that lightning strikes evildoers and no one else, both of those are equally valid thought processes.

it's not the amount of report that matters, again, this is where you are just plain wrong.

when the system decide if a punisment is needed does it look at 2 factors, 1: how severe the toxic behavior is, 2: how frequent the toxic behavior takes place, if no toxic behavior is found is the report dropped and nothing happens.

in other words, you can be in a game with 4 premades and your report still got the same weight as all their reports combined, because all reporting does is to flag the game, it's that simple.

Yeah you know what... your right... no one is toxic in this game. Ever. The community is amazing and every player is sweet and pleasent to be around. It only takes one report to flag a game, and that weeds out all the assholes. No one is toxic in LoL, and if they try to be they are punished swiftly.

Except that thats not really true, and you are pretty much ignoring my main point. Pretty weird that you latched on on to one specific aspect of what I said, stuck your fingers in your ears and started going "LA LA LA LA YOURE WRONG LA LA!"

In a duo, they can blame, lie, and accuse a player of all manner of actions in chat, and unless the other players in that match stop playing their lane, and just sit and watch to see if those statements are true or not then they cant know. Even if a live person reviewed that chat, they cant know if the lies are true or not. After all, theyre being backed up by another player. Happens all the time.

So with the smokescreen of a duo defending eachothers actions, making eachother out to be innocent, then just reading the chat would make it seem as though they didnt do anything wrong...

I mean its like someone saying "No officer, he didnt stab her, she stabbed herself and then started saying he did it. I saw the whole thing." Well no crime there, just based off what one guy claims to have seen. No punishment! I really hope you arnt a cop... cause that would be horrible for everyone else.

Now, stick your fingers in your ears, and continue to say how that 1 flag is the barrier to all toxicity in the game, and ignoring my point that having a duo whiteknighting as a smokescreen isnt helpful.

they can but if the player didn't do it, does nothing happen.

the system will simply look at that players chat, detect nothing and discard the report.

you don't really seem to know how the report system works, proven even more clear later in your post where you start claiming players can "hide" each others actions (even though anyone that have ever seen a report card can tell you, the reports is handle on a player to player basic so the other player's chat don't even appear in the case).

you also seems to belive "flagging = sure punishment", even though i already explained to you that it doesn't:

i suggest you go investigate the topic you want to talk about befor you make a post, could maybe even start with the link in my first post where a rioter tells you that your statment is wrong.

I think they just need to bring back ranked game bans. That way we can report a player for being unskilled again.

I'm aware. My direct suggestion isn't likely to be taken. The concept is to have some barrier to entry to make ranked games less frustrating to play.

The problem is that people will just gang up and kick someone when their team comp is inferior to the enemy, or if someone picks something off meta (which doesn't necessarily mean bad.

I don't think this is a good idea. It is highly abusable since 4 premade trolls can just kick the fifth guy everytime they get into champion select. And since I'm assuming you can just start queing up directly after a game has been cancelled due to a guy being kicked, the 4 trolls can just end games early, kick after kick after kick. It will also make it alot harder to actually get into a game, since both teams has to go through 2 minutes of not kicking ANYONE. It would especially be hard to get into a game in lower elos since the amount of trolls are higher.

And what exactly happens to the guy that got kicked? Does he lose lp? Does he get a que dodge timer as if he dodged? Can he just start queing immediately after he has been kicked? Because if it is the latter, then the votekick system would be completely irrelevant.

Hello all. Thanks for your feedback. I understand that this probably can be abused and bring a lot of disadvantages. This was an idea which just popped off and thought it would be cool to share it, some of the disadvantages, I didn't even think of. But maybe if riot could investigate on something like this ( not like this maybe similar ) or maybe they can work to find a way to counter the possible ways to abuse this system, it could be a good system that can give us better teammates and a better way to play league of legends.
