Evelyn's W is counter intuitive and unfun to wait for / play with

Here's the issue I'm seeing and hearing.

  1. An ability that limits a players playtime by forcing them to make a decision a) Prematurely pop W and negate the charm, or b) Wait for it to pop. With the later meaning that said enemy player with the charm will most certainly be in the midst of his/her entire team and you wont be able to make use of it anyways.

  2. Forcing a player to either a) Invest in a time management mini-game where an ability literally forces you to stop with no benefit to the player using it, or b) Hope you can use E to close an extremely small gap in order to pop said other ability in the midst of a team fight, or c) Dont bother using W on Enemy Champions.

The concept of the ability is fine and all, but right now it's just so infuriating that everyone can see it, making it almost impossible to get off on an enemy that isn't alone, with no CDs and who doesn't have boots.. Which 9/10th of the game doesn't ever happen. The point of her charm was to make it so the player has a means to actually function as an assassin, but when an entire team can see it happening, you're just stalling a game by 6 seconds where you literally sit and wait, watching the enemy you cast it on, waddle around their team mates in pure safety.

My proposition,

  1. Substantially increase the range at which Evelyn can use her E on fully charmed targets, functioning as is.

or

  1. Enemy team mates can no longer see the Charm animation, forcing both Evelyn and her target to play the game (What better way to torture someone than making them squirm, without alerting the entire world to her presence)

Evelynn is just total fucking garbage from every possible perspective. The character that sustains herself on the suffering of others' only hp recovery skill is when she's not attacking people. Stealth champion with an ability that tells you explicitly where she is.

Team B is so fucking incompetent and devoid of any talent whatsoever. Just let Team A do every rework.

Evelynn is a mess. As a S6 Plat II AD Eve main I can find not a single positive word about this rework. They killed all her build variety. They took her mobility, removed her survivability, worsened her burst, worsened her stealth, made her ganks EXTREMELY obvious and made her damage more unreliable with no compensation at all. I can't see how anybody post gold V can fall for her charm.

I could get behind that second suggestion. Making it only visible to the target is very fitting for her theme. That and when someone is 'charmed' in fantasy it's not necessarily noticeable or apparent to those around them, they just suddenly walk off or act differently.

As a former Eve main, I didn't mind the rework the first few games I played her. I'm super disappointed now.

Mechanical flaws aside, she's still very binary. Mark a target. Wait 2.5 seconds. Try to get to them and burst them down. Her lack of mobility and dependence on her W proc to do damage is super frustrating. Playing against a team that knows how to peel is impossible. She needs more than a few tweaks if she's going to be a viable champ.

yea the w sucks, my most common problem with using it is that its only good when eve is ambushing someone. you cant use it if someone jumps on you or 1 of your teammates, the ability forces your team to also play around the timing of the skill because if you dont get your charm off your contribution to fights is 0. eves dps to a non charmed is trash because she is way to reliant on her ability's now.

Kat and kass the other 2 melee ap assassins champs can maneuver in and out of fights and can output good damage all the time but eve cant. she feels a extremely short range mage that is forced into buying cdr because she is 100% useless when her skills are down

  1. Make the time it takes to proc her W decrease with each rank in her W.
  2. Make her E an actual gap closer with range, remove the speed boost from it

Her problem actually isn't lane ganking post-6, it's her teamfighting. She doesn't have strong early game. That's an adequate weakness. But the 2.5 second heads up for the enemy team to backup / throw every shield + heal + tank on Eve's target / be on the lookout to CC the Eve walking up, in addition to being the only melee assassin with no gap closer makes her teamfighting even worst than her early game.

Right now, Eve is just a champ where you're only allowed to have fun from level 6-11~ish.

Remove the charm. Give her dark frenzy back.

Remove the "dash". Give her ravage back.

Restore the AD scalings.

Why does Q have a cooldown???????

That second option seems so good for her kit. It brings out the demon in her. The idea that you are almost having an inner battle with your self. I don’t know how well it would work on love. But the concept is brilliant.

it would be easy just to spam ping yourself if your marked, most people should get the message, this would probably make her fall off the more coordinated people become, and would make a large difference between elo's in eve's strength,

I like the idea of not everyone knowing who is marked, maybe it should show multiple people as marked but only 1 really is, and make a charm have a small aoe so that people can't just blob up and make the attempt pointless

I think both of these suggestions are horrible.

As for the first - there's a reason her E is basically melee range. Procing her charm is meant to be somewhat difficult, requiring landing a skillshot, closing the gap into melee range, or blowing a more substantial cooldown like smite. It's not supposed to be a targeted, ranged hard CC all the time, so giving her a targeted ranged basic ability would be stupid.

As for the second thing, that would change nothing for teams with comms, and be brutal to those without. Given that league doesn't have built in voice chat, this kind of mechanic can't be introduced.

The only change I would make is to lower the charge time to 1.5 sec instead of 2. 2 is very long and would even be trouble in a 1 on 1 scenario.

Either that or increase E's range. Far too short as of now.

in low elo games its very benifitial, putting the w on a tank so the tank gets scared and moves away from the squishys, then i have 2 choices , either go for the tank with the mark, or go for a squishy. my key objective as eve is to A. Nuke someone or B. isolate someone
