put some diminishing returns on armor penetration.

Right now. here is how armor penetration works. it has no diminishing returns. wheather its percentage total or pecentage bonus of flat armor pen. however you get it it stacks additively. now its really stupid when a miss fortune gets a black cleaver and a last whisper and there goes 2/3s of my armor. no need for that. we have diminishing returns for stacking armor. this doesn't feel right.

for magic pen. there isn't a way to get a whole lot of it. and mages don't auto attack you

I think magic pen is capped at 40%. I don't know about armor pen.

because thats the most you can get on magic pen but thats not the point in percent at least. you can still get 10-25 mpen from abyssal and 30 from boots and liandries.

Yes, if you have for example 25mpen and 40%mpen then you take away 40% mres and after that you subtract 25mpen and that's the end mr the enemy has vs you. The reason why ad is so strong is because they have more damage multipliers than ap: ad x ats x arpen x crits

"and there goes 2/3s of my armor" not only is this a half-truth, she also misses 2 AD/crit/AS items for it.

There are no diminishing returns for stacking armor. Maybe in terms of cost-effectiveness, but every point of armor makes you just as much tankier as any other point of armor.

Furthermore, armor pen/reduction stack multiplicatively. Hypothetically, if you have 80 base armor and 200 bonus armor, BC reduces your total armor to 196, and LW ignores 30% of the remaining 116 bonus armor. Final effective total armor would be about 161. With 80 base and 100 bonus, it'd be around 112. 80 base and 300 bonus would end with 210. You're not even losing half of your armor, much less 2/3rds.
