@Aatrox mains, How do you do it? How do you pubstomp so hard with him?

Everytime I look at aatrox and his kit, it just seems like a perfect blueprint for a weak champion. And yet, I see videos and match histories with Aatrox players popping off, grabbing a ton of incredible numbers on their KDA.

I just don't know how you guys do it. He seems too squishy to do the things he needs to do, yet other times I see he's incredibly tanky.

To all Aatrox mains, can you please give a little advice and some information on how you make your plays? Do you all-in early? Or do you play passive until you get a certain item? I am curious about the champion, but every time I've tried him out, I've failed miserably.

Can some of you guys give me some tips and things I should consider if I want to get better with him?

All I can tell you is that you're going to need to study "best first item" based on matchups for quite some time if you're not good with matchups yet. Example, building BoTRK first on Darius because he builds Cleaver, matching if he has boots so he can't more easily land Q, and expanding the rest of the build based on what you need (Titanic is a common item because having waveclear is good).

Play lv1-3 like if someone looks at you the wrong way, you'll probably die. Can farm using E (train last hitting with it) but you're going to have to let the opponent push into you unless it's a tank, where you can take W lv1 and then Q second and play more aggressively. Only go to fight the opponent if they've whiffed a spell and you can reach max Blood Well at point blank range (via Q+Blood Price or E). Keep Blood Price on and you should be doing ok.

Regardless practice is everything. Watch other people and see what they're doing and why they do it.

Perhaps you aren't aggressive enough in line. Abuse your heal and your Blood Price. Make it hurt when they try to farm minions, kite yourself back healing off of minions if things get too hairy. I perosnally run summoner 14 summoner 6 Easy first kill.

Hey do not listen to the noobs that commented below, here is the bottom line:

I am main Anivia just like you who mained aatrox since his release, and to my best knowledge, this is the best way to play aatrox:

1st tip: Scaling damage, armor, and magic resist to lvl 18 for late game power, so play passively early.

2nd tip: follow this build early game item 1053 item 1043 item 3047 Core items item 3124 item 3091 item 3153 item 3065 item 3026 item 3742 item 2140 Hint: late game sell the boots for dead man's plate cuz you do not need them no more.

TO my best knowledge, this is the best way to play aatrox now although he is garbage.

this build will give you 2.5 attack speed. more than 200 armor and magic resist

What I meant by scaling damage is scaling damage runes to lvl 18 the big and red ones.

Scaling armor to lvl 18 the yellow ones

Scaling magic resist lvl 18 blue ones

For mastery do whatever you prefer he is very flexible.

After the rework? Don't play Aatrox.

Before rework I always bought adc items. Malmortius, Statikc, Edge of infinity, Phantomdancer , Spirit visage, GA. Was pretty fun. Good old times
