OT: when playing unlocked it already centers when pressing the spacebar..?
The data is basic neurology. Where not everyone is able to do something even if they are all taught the same thing. A better example would be a phobia of some kind. Lets say acrophobia for this example, the fear of heights. You have people who can go to the top of the highest buildings or wherever in the world and be perfectly fine, then there are people like me that can't because our brains freak out causing us to lose focus and panic, it isn't something that we can just do and get over with a little practice. Camera Unlock, while not nearly as extreme as a phobia, is the same at the core. People can do it and be perfectly fine, while people like myself cannot because when big action hits we lose focus if our champion isn't right here in front of us, making us miss spells and more commonly think our champion is in 1 spot when it is in another.
It's hard to understand for people that can easily do unlocked, but know that for a number of us locked players it's a lot more than a simple, "we don't want to do it because we don't feel like it".
Finally for the "unlocked can center with spacebar" deal, it's still unlocked and we can still lose our champions. I seriously tried playing unlocked, I tried hard to learn it, but it was impossible with how my brain is wired (such as how I explained before). What I did get out of that practice was the ability to temporary unlock for distance skill-shots and some basic laning vision, but I can't play with just unlocked all the time, it's not possible for players like myself.
Semi-Locked can help us locked players do some of the things unlocked can without being unlocked because our champion is in a place we can be aware of their location at all times. Having the re-center with spacebar on this camera will make it where we can have the best of both worlds with a little bit more practice. I do like Semi-Locked because of what it can do for people like myself, but we need the re-center button to make it properly work.
