Kayle won't be able to go top lane anymore

Until level 6 she is pure melee and her playstyle remain carry style, so she will mostly like build attack speed item .. like she is right now but won't have access to range. What about ranged matchup? People who play Jayce, Kennen, Quinn, etc. Kayle now lose by default because she can't do anything before level 6? Her ult is also a huge power loss since she can't auto attack but allies she ult can still attack and do spell.. I find the ult and the ranged thing a bit like a huge nerf ...

There are plenty of other purely melee top laners that are not much tankier than Kayle pre 6, such as Darius, Garen and Illaoi. Kayle has just as many ranged abilities as any of them and becomes ranged as the game goes on. Top is probably the best lane for her at the moment if anything.

Yes but they have defensive tool, regen mechanic or something to bully other champion, Kayle doesn't really and her mana cost are not small, the mana restriction will be there.

Kayle has a heal and two ranged abilities. She's literally been designed around the idea of scaling into one of if not the singular best late game champion in the game. She needs to have a really weak early game if they want this to be the case. She, at the very least, has enough tools in her arsenal to not die if she tries to play as safely as possible. She then has the benefit of gaining range over the course of the game, a luxury Darius, Illoai, Garen, Ornn etc. do not have.

I see. Still it's basically the same as what we have right now excep the Q. I highly doubt she will get that good early game.

That's the point. Her early game is meant to absolutely horse sh*t as a trade off for her godly late game.

Yea but with League we have right now, late game almost is nonexistent.. There is no point of having a godly late game if you get crushed in laning where you can't come back.

New Kayle scales really well just with levels. Getting to level 16 where she's at her strongest, isn't really that unreachable and all it takes is a slight change in the meta to increase the average game length.

What about her heal? Her bursty E? Rune choices? I can see her doing very well, even as early game melee with the following;

Hail of Blades Cheap Shot Eyeball Hunter Ultimate Hunter

Alacrity Cutdown

Max E >R>Q>W

Play: When enemy steps to you, pop E, hail of blades them, Q them when they realize their mistake, follow, ignite, dead.

I'm spit balling of course, but she won't be useless top lane surely. Her kit has shifted to a bursty one, and Hail of blades getting that first E auto off faster along with her being able to stick to, and debuff her targets will be strong.

Umm play safe till 6? Use her heal? She still has a ranged slow to poke and set up ganks.

She scales into a truedamage dealing ranged aoe hyper carry....... i think a weaker early game when COUNTER picked is probably okay.

Her heal is designed to oom her if she uses it too often. The same as current Kayle.

if the same kayle as the one as on the pbe would be laning against me, id completely annihilate her with most champions.

the new kayle pre lvl 11 looks like the current kayle without her e.

kayle right now on live is a champion with an extreme power curve already. shes pretty weak early on and scales insanely hard with items to the point where she turns into a hypercarry lategame. the reason shes generally not viable is, because most champions just beat her early on to the point where she never scales.

what theyve done with her is to make this difference even larger. post rework kayle at early levels is even weaker, while shes almost unfairly strong lategame. i dont see how she can be made to be a functioning champion in this game like this.
