To be fair about the whole "crit champions are complete broken bs"

Which is true tbh but.. item 3143 stacking is actually a fairly good strategy when mixed with a few offensive-defensive items like item 3742 item 3068

Still, MissFortune in particular is absurdly powerful now that her ult crits. You literally have to stack them against her.

There is no point to this post btw. Move along.[slayer-jinx-wink]

The thing is you don't have enough slots to allow yourself to spend all your slots on randuins. You usually have core items you need to work on too; and some magic resist. It would work against full AD comps only tbh.

Don't pretend that you don't see full ad comps every other game. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

I agree. I just like using these jinx stickers

stacking defensive items has diminishing returns so for every armor item you get over the first, you get less value out of it. if she gets a damage item instead, she effectively has more value from her items than you. also, offensive items are just stronger by themselves (but also more expensive) so if both parties have 0 items, tanks are pretty tanky. if both parties have 1 similar-cost item (rapidfire gun vs deadmans plate) the tanky item wins BIG time but with every item they get, he falls behind more and more and at full build, if you get 6 tank items and the other one gets 6 damage items, you get melted instantly because his items are stronger and stack much better.

this means generally its not worth to buy more than one defensive item of a type (1 armor, 1 mr) and only if their AD damage is really insane, add a thornmail to the mix.

other than that, unless you are fed, you are just wasting too much gold.

Kind of sucks that there's literally ONE way to reduce crit damage in the game now, it's either build an item 3143 or you just take the full crits. I wish there was some crit reduction on item 3082 maybe -5% on that item or something, so you could have some while you're saving up for the Omen, kind of like they did with item 3035 building into item 3036.

And honestly I hardly get a chance to build Omen anymore because item 3742 is just so freaking good. I'd rather have the speed so I can get on top of my enemies than the extra defensive stats.

Randuin is better against ADCs and melee carries due to the attack speed reduction and crit reduction. Deadman's Plate is better otherwise due to having more effective HP against physical damage.

However, the nerfs to Deadman's Plate on the PBE may make Randuin a better armor item in general unless your champion desperately needs the mobility.
