Why is Twitch in his current sate acceptable?

Its actually horrible to play against. Playing Talon and he kills you by out dpsing you and healing so much hp that he beats me in 1v1s by standing still and autoing.

can I see a replay of this please, because Talon seems like he should be able to 1v1 a caught out twitch unless Twitch is super ahead, Talon is super behind, or a lil bit of both

PePsiLemoNN24 votes

No you can't. Cause unless that Twitch was very fed that didn't happen and it's just another shitpost.

Mid/late game Talon can't kill Twitch in a team fight because of lifesteal

Slythion8 votes

He specifically said it was a 1v1 though

Zëd Lęppelin1 votes

Both full build.

Slythion7 votes

lemme see the replay then please

Twitch probably just autoed him from a safe distance.

Slythion1 votes

Talon has multiple ways to escape an immobile adc, his ult alone being one.

I know the "twitch deletes people" meme is alive and well, but from a realistic standpoint that doesn't happen unless Twitch is really ahead or he's really behind.

You have to remember that Twitch doesn't have the assassin secondary for nothing. If he has a lead he will get the jump on a squishy that's behind.

Plus, a Talon w/ Youmuus, E, and R has multiple ways of just leaving twitch

Yup

I agree, post replay or didnt happen.

i can believe it. Consider twitches range plus attack speed after stealth. Then realize he only needs 2 or 3 crits to kill talon. Even if talon reacted immediately he would take 1 auto as twitch engaged and 1 auto after talons stealth ended. And considering that ulting and running to twitch and using q only gives 2 stacks then i see talon easily dying mid w for 3rd stack and auto since twitch needs probably 2 more autos which takes less then 1.25 secs.
This is assuming both twitch and talon have 4+ items.

Slythion1 votes

I disagree, but we can't know for sure if OP would just post the replay.

Unfortunately he refuses to, most likely because he knows there's something in there that would ruin his bandwagon post of the "hate twitch" theme.

twitch hasn't changed much recently....hes just suddenly become strong from certain items along with all hyper carries..kogmaw trist ect ect...your blamming a character thats kinda been the same for a long time because of a current meta and certain item changes that make him viable again hell before this meta you likely forgot twitch was a thing.

No you are hilariously wrong. Just cause a champ wasnt changed or not recently buffed doesnt mean he was balanced all that time. Champions go under the radar very often until they are "discovered" to be strong. Theres plenty of examples of that happening. Infact alot of times Korea invents some new "meta" or "op" pick and NA just copies it not realizing it was strong the whole time. Example: Jayce - his buff was in around feb/march 2016. At this point he was already "op". No 1 noticed or cared or realized and his playrate was extremely low. Then about 8 months later when he got picked in worlds is when people started hoping on the "jayce is overpowered" train even though he was just as overpowered for the prior 8 months and no one even cared or bothered.

Another example, talon from 2014. Never changed , never buffed but all of a sudden became a huge meta pick during worlds and Riot had to remove his silence. The entire year of 2014 he was just as overpowered and murdering people during the 1 second silence but nobody noticed or cared or picked him.

Twitch is a very identical example. Its been absurd for a long time now and just because it wasnt noticed doesnt mean hes been balanced the whole time LMFAO

Ignorance is hilarious.

yes it is...hyper carries are strong..you think hes op and perfect? i take trist or kogmaw into twitch and shit all over him....im sorry your adcs are falling under the radar but get with the meta i guess?

AleksaTeemo2 votes

lmao, twitch is more useful than trist in teamfights.Same with deal with kog.He has 1100 range and A LOT of it and its AOE.

GayFluffyUnicorn3 votes

Except this isn't even true. Durign lethality and cait meta he still had slightly above 50% winrate and from times 60% winrate in jungle. After caitlyn nerfs he rose up fast to an average of 55% winrate in botlane and jungle got worse. He has been like that the entire fucking season and people still try to justify this cancer champ.

It's funny that none of those ''he 1v1'd me'' posts never post a replay LUL.

Because I don't want to go through the replay of a 20 min + game just to find the one specific time he killed me.

Send me the replay and I'll go through it and analyze each of your plays through the entire game if that what it takes to end this stupid twitch shitposting

Then you're doing something wrong lol. I've played a couple of talon games and talon is broken as shit

Khristophoros2 votes

<currently meta ADC> is the most cancer thing ever!!!!!!

Did you ever stop to think that the skilled players will pick whichever champs are considered strong even in solo queue where their team comp may or may not even support that champ. But it doesn't matter because the enemy team comp isn't going to be well designed either. So in solo queue, it's more the player than the champ. In other words, git gud.

Sorry I'm bad. Seeing as you're so good, tell me what the counterplay to autos is when you're playing a squishy assassin? Do I have to pink the shroud? Or was it maybe my sidestep game too weak? Use the Overwatch strats and switch to Jax mid game? Hack in a couple of dodge items from depths of season one? Sorry I've tried so hard to think of something I could have done, but I'm drawing blanks. Help me please you vastly superior individual.

You just git gud ok?

IDK man, I just play Vel'Koz and do my thing. I don't play Talon.

The bottom line is you have to know your matchups.

Zëd Lęppelin6 votes

ty.

Khristophoros1 votes

Seriously though, my point was that in solo queue, especially in 1v1s, it's mostly the player. He knew that Twitch vs Talon at the current items and levels he could win. I mean idk maybe he just didn't give a fuck, but generally people will only commit to a situation they can win, right? If you don't know you probably shouldn't commit to it. If you find that you frequently don't have confidence about situations that is a sign that you need to learn the matchups and power spikes of the champs involved.

Zëd Lęppelin3 votes

Actually I engaged on him because he was by himself and I'm an assassin. I wasn't sure but I still committed to it. It was my misplay trying to 1v1 a Twitch late game, but that's what this post is about: the fact that I feel he shouldn't have won.

Khristophoros1 votes

I don't play either of those champs but I don't think that assassins should necessarily automatically win a 1v1 with an ADC late game just because it's "assassin vs ADC". That would be far too simplistic and would beg the question why do we have all these champs called assassins and all these champs called ADCs? If that was really what the game boils down to we should just have 1 assassin and 1 ADC to pick from.

We have a lot of champs within each class and they all have different power spikes, and they all have their own mechanics you have to avoid/land in terms of winning an encounter on the micro scale. It's not just "ok I engage on him and kill him because I'm assassin and he's ADC." The game is more interesting than that.

AleksaTeemo1 votes

Assasins are supposed to 1v1 any adc(bar vayne) in the late game.Although,it gets harder for them to get closer to adc in teamfights the longer game goes.

No, the game actually is not that simple.

Never did i say it was did i?I said they are supposed to but that is not happening right now.

bEAnDoG781 votes

We are asking for a clip of the 1v1 so we can analyze if there are actually different reasons leading to this. We want to analyze your gameplay so you aren't spreading a false message (This Thread is Basically an Upvote Farm). For example, earlier you said you were "Both Full Build" (Don't know how to directly quote on Boards, so this will do), which gives your audience a shred of doubt. There was most likely a major misplay coming from you and how you went in. Also, when all of these people disagree with your statement, you have to note that MAYBE, just MAYBE, you aren't looking at the situation correctly and that we can help analyze and fix your mistakes.

Maybe play talon mid and not support?

Probably because he hasn't been played in LCS yet. And because balancing the game around Dia+ is something Riot rarely prioritizes.

Actually, Twitch has had over a 50% win rate all season in Plat +...

So yeah, to the OP, good fucking question. He's been out of line since the preseason and has personally survived every change in the ADC meta and come out as a top pick in every single one. But the boards are just now complaining about him while other champions like Cait, Lucian, and Tristana are getting dicked. :/

Dengeden1 votes

That doesn't mean much, he's not the only one with a consistently high winrate.

I would agree with you except, yes. Yes he is. If you look back at his win rate and compare it to other ADC's, his is a very consistent 53-55% from the very start of the season whereas there have been multiple flavor of the months that have fluctuated up and then back down again.

Dengeden1 votes

Huh, so he is but there are still champions who've had absurd winrates for even longer but low pickrates so nobody cared. Kayle and Karthus top came to mind.

They also have like... 1% play rates where as the rat has had a climbing play rate since the preseason, starting at like 5% and now sitting at like a 15% play rate. :/

If you can't kill twitch, especially in a 1v1 scenario as talon, than there's no help for you.

Pop0001002 votes

as million+ mastery score Twitch , i want to say your playing Talon wrong because a good Talon MonkeyKing Pantheon Irelia are like the only champs i can't deal with when I'm ahead, they either kill me or we trade flashes.

if your playing Talon support(as the comments are saying) you should be able to punish him, his lane phase really is abysmal(he loses to just about every lane matchup/.)

Zëd Lęppelin1 votes

It wasn't Twitch adc. It was jungle. Also Jesus over 1mill mastery on Twitch. RIP your mouse. (I picked Talon cos I saw the twitch and soraka and my plan was to go EC -> full AD and just shut down bot early)

I remember back in February during the lethality meta everyone was shitting on Jhin, screaming to nerf him and ignoring how broken the lethality items were.

Surprise, surprise, after lethality got nerfed he sat at a 46% WR for a good few months.

Usan1 votes

You're right , but Twitch has been broken for like 3 or 4 months lol

bEAnDoG781 votes

I don't know whether you actually realized his point or not. He is most likely saying that the items revolving around ADCs need to be nerfed or adjusted to not allowing ADCs to be stat monsters. We could have seen throughout all of Season 6-Season 7 of the constant ADC meta-shifts. For example, we can take Ezreal, pretty dominant in Season 6, and place him in EARLY Season 7 and he will get destroyed by all of these lethality ADCs. And then these lethality ADCs get completely murdered by crit ADCs in the next metashift. And it doesn't help that all of these new support items help these attack speed/crit stacking ADCs. So, I find the main problem with ADC to be the items that they are allowed to build and how much they offer. I never saw ADCs as too over oppressive until the IE + Shiv + RFC came out, but the community tends to ignore this and not look at continuity of ADCs since the "marksman rework."

Usan1 votes

crit items has been broken for like 3 or 4 months lol*

Illusive Otter1 votes

They should at least decrease the range he gets from his ult in my opinion. The champ is busted especially with an ardent censor support he can just 1v5 from across the entire lane.
