So who are good picks/counters into Velkoz?

If i happen to be jungling i'm most definitely picking Sejuani if i see him picked, I just fought a fed one as Taliyah, and another recently and I realized that he's probably on my top do not feed or you arent going to be doing shit if he has his ult list. ( I wasn't expecting it to go well. Plus im obvi new with her.) Anyways title. I'd like to avoid that same situation, even if It's just a champion that can cancel his ult reliably. Realistically im looking for ccounterpicks

Assassins that can dominate him in lane (Zed, LeBlanc, Talon if you're good)

Mages that can outrange/outpoke him, like Xerath or Lux

Now if you're against a good Vel'Koz player? Then all I can say is good luck. Your chances against a dedicated main for an unpopular champion are very slim.

Is diana still good against him? Something i forgot to add was that my first death was a result of him ulting me to >25% with no kill gold lead because Taliyahs W/Ult dont proc fast enough to negate the damage. I felt like Myabe she would outpoke him but yehhhh ult.

Gap Closers with Burst.

This can be Assassins, for one. But certain Tanks/Bruisers can do it as well. Tough for a Juggernaut, as they don't close gaps well... but if talking Jungle then wait for Vel to engage your Mid and then Flank as a Juggernaut.

Old Shen use to be great against him... not sure about New Shen. Garen can Silence to shut off his Ult, then Spin to Win on his face. WuKong can close gaps and interrupt his Ult, which is his major source of damages.

You have plenty of options, you just have to see why each would be effective.

That, and a Banshee's to ignore the first Ability (in case it's CC) and a QSS/Cleanse can be very effective as well.
