I understand that you don't want to autofill and you might not be all that familiar with support. but if you have been playing league for years. you should at least have played thresh or blitzcrank. it doesn't give you an execuse to play bard and leave your adc and go troll in enemy jungle because "I don't know how to support" some of these things are common sense. do the basics ward and buy sup items. no need to troll because you're autofill.

Happens in bronze too often, when they get autofilled support and say, "I never played support" or " I don't know how to play support someone switch". Sometiimes they will even say that they "don't know" what role they got so they just pick something else. So there is no getting passes it Munch, just got to deal with it and hope they get banned, "Which they won't"

I agree that nobody should troll games because they got stuck in a position they can't do, but I also believe that people should have the option to turn auto-fill on or off in ranked. There are folks out there who just simply can't support reliably; they've practiced the lane a lot over the years, but they've never gotten the hang of it (instead they can do 3 other lanes reliably).

I wonder how those individual's survive anything prior to season 6. When we didn't even have the role selection. (Arguably in season 5, you could practice any role using teambuilder) But before the dynamic selection process, you were for the most part at the mercy of pickorder, and their was no way for you to even get their best role, even if it happened to be their promotion series.

Yet with the introduction of DQ, we find that our expectation are a lot stronger. Prefering that the ranked system be representative of our best position, and not of our over all mastery of the game. And Riot can't meet those expectations without creating the bottlenecking problem, of having not enough supports, and too many of everyone else.

Personally I don't care. I usually just hit fill anyways and play what ever role is given to me.
