how am i supposed to play around thresh as tristana?

now. we can complain all we want about blitzcrank. but as someone who enjoys playing tristana. i dont main adc or anything. but I don't know how to deal with thresh. he has 3 ways of locking you down. he can flay my W and still be able to hook me at any point in my W. which is just plain ridiculous. do I ban thresh every time I want to play tristana or what? dont tell me to dodge his hook because you and i know that its the most broken and glitchy hit box in the game

Is your support afk or something?

As support, I usually pick Morgana into Thresh. When I play Thresh, I have problems against Alistars and Braums who continuously place themselves inbetween me and the adc, and very high-damage supports like Annie, Brand, or Vel'Koz, because while I'm locking their adc down, they're straight-up murdering mine.

I know this isn't what you asked, but it never hurts to ask your support for some anti-Thresh.

my support for some reason had scaling runes so he just gave first blood. he was a braum. with less armor than me.

As much as I hate to blame your support(I'm a support main) it's their fault if you can't call on him. As a support you're supposed to pick to help the team. If I'm one of the first picks I always grab one who is better at zoning. If I'm not then it's all to easy to counter their picks. If they go thresh I'll get Zyra Morgana Leona Braum aalistair Janna Annie. He's easily countered. It is also your job to position yourself to have the advantage but having synergy in bot lane picks is key to winning. I love playing support because when you win lane that's 2/5 of your team that'll come out ahead and you only need another lane or jog ahead to win the game unless someone is stupid fed on the enemy team

Well, its not about Thresh then. Its about your support and your mutual coordination.

Yeah, that just sucks. I hope you have better luck next time.

Thresh's q hitbox isn't that glitchy, and the windup should give you enough time to just dodge it, but if he does hit you with it wait until after he flays and then rocket jump out. Just stand behind minions and if he starts getting close like he wants to engage just throw that explodey bomb thing on him and auto him a couple times

Practice identifying thresh's animation on his q. It makes a very distinct swishing chain noise and a fairly slow cast activate.

If you focus only ever on last hits and occasional pokes on enemy players when they get too close the lane should be in your favor most of the time. Which is great for trist since she has a range increase and an Oh shit button escape.

Play her for the late game and only go for kills when the other team screws up or you have an almost gaurenteed gank.

you realize he can cancel most of the animation right.

I didnt say use jump to avoid it. If you see a visual que cut back or up/down and most likely the hook will miss. Even if he cancles it you aren't out anything. As long as you have wards in river/bushes he should never surprise you with a hook.

Plus you can always buy a pink ward as adc as strategiclly place it to help with vision dominance bot lane. Sometimes it even acts as a great bait tool. If you have a good aggresive support with decent cc and engage you can catch him in the act of trying to dismantle your ward for an easy kill or force his flash and maybe even his R.
