Silver 4 is worse than Bronze

DrtyTrouserSnake··5 votes·1,163 views

Silver 4 is impossible for me to climb out of, I have been in and out of Silver 5 and 4 at least 7 times this season. I was able to solo climb out of bronze, but it seems every game in Silver 4 I have, I either get afk's or idiots who go 0-6 and then give up. Anyone else have this problem?

You stopped climbing for you belong where you belong. The game is not working against you, review your games, practice, learn from mistakes. Stop acting like "elo hell" is real, if elo hell was real than no one on earth would have ever gotten gold or higher, yet thousands upon thousands of players around the globe do it just fine every day. The system is not rigged, you are just ignorant of your mistakes.

Simply not true, my friends who are gold start off in gold elo every season, never have to deal with it anymore. Most of them have accounts stuck in silver and can only get out in duo's. Biggest problem is new people being put in Silver. They do not belong there.

While it is true most people will agree that silver and high plat are some of the biggest forms of so called "elo hell" fact is, countless players are able to climb, while others can not, the ones who can climb are not special little oysters, they are people who worked hard, and earned their reward. I just got gold, currently leveling a second account to get that into gold, If I can get gold on two different accounts, which I will than your so called elo hell, is a load of bull.

Nah man, its pretty true. They key when is to improve. Its pretty clean cut math, if your better at the game then your elo, your team has an inherent advantage in every game you play. Over time law of large numbers kicks in, not only will you theoretically win more games vs strangers from being higher skilled but the odds of the enemy team getting unskilled players, trolls, newcomers, and flamer rage case leavers. More games. less random 1 offs matter more your consistent performances has impact.

I started Bronze elo, got better, hit silver, got better, hit gold, got better hit plat. Last year i spend several months trying to duo some one out of gold to plat. Nice bloke but he was very low gold probably more towards silver as he really struggled to hit even 50% winrate, anyhow figured id be able to carry him as i can solo my way out of the division. Nope, the consistent handicap of him being on our team cost us and our teammates more games then me playing well could fix, my skill is not high enough to make that level of impact. I stuck with this until i got demoted an entire color division before i called it quits.

that's why i stopped playing ranked literally no point, its not even solo q anymore its: duo and think ur good and climbing like a god. Or just get teammates that literally int and or afk.

as a player who has climbed out of bronze every season... silver is MUCH worse than bronze

its a VERY simple difference

in bronze when you climb out.. its because your the ONLY player on either team who doesn't belong in bronze, and your opponents are dumb enough so even if they get ahead they also feed their ass off, misplay and do stupid shit so you can still carry.

in silver you still get idiots on your team who feed just like in bronze.

except THIS time those idiots are NEW players who JUST played into silver by riot bullshit first season ranking system. (which should NEVER place anyone above bronze even for 10/0)

and MOST players in silver ARE silver so you get 1-3 players out of the 10 players who are complete steaming piles of garbage.

and if they are facing an ACTUAL silver player that silver player is goig to get such a huge lead that you wont be able to recover from that.

this isnt high elo where people stop feeding when they lose lane. this is people going 0/10 in the first 8 min, becuase u put a brand freaking new player vs something who is actually silver 3 or 2. THAT'S the problem. THATS why its hard to climb

if it was 10 silver players.. then yeah it would be simple as fuck to climb.

but its NOT in bronze you can carry because EVEN IF THEY ARE FED they still play like trash and you can win. by the time a new player feeds a silver player 10 kill, they aren't great , and even n gold or even a slight gold lead you can definitely beat them, but... they are not dumb enough to lose with a 10 kill gold advantage on you. which you COULDN'T match because YOU had to actually fight a SILVER player

THATS THE DIFFERENT BETWEEN SILVER AND BRONZE

THATS why its nearly impossible to climb. because ANY game can be randomly decided by which team gets a new player.. because that makes its a 6v4.....

This has been a issue since ranked ques opened. Silver has the HIGHEST population by a large margin. And you get people from very different skill levels

Not really. But I've seen the existing trend where players just do exactly what you say. And even when you feel successful getting out of Bronze, it's still not over yet. It's why I've called Silver V and IV, "Still Bronze I." Usually the quitters for me thrive in either top or bot lane (or vs Annie) but that was last season and I didn't even try that much then. But it did teach me a few lessons: pick up that carry role and keep a level head. If the game winds up being one of those games, I just shrug my shoulders, call it further practice, and play one more game or try again later.

Just grind it out. If you aren't the one feeding, you will climb; just not as fast as you want to. It really is a garbled mess in low silver, because you have bronze players who were carried beyond their skill, and gold players who also became trapped due to incompetent players. Be proactive, keep learning new things, practice and grind out the games, you can do it!

Silver 5 - 4 is generally that range where new players are placed so yeah.

Play Warwick jungle and farm when you dont wanna follow your team. I cant believe how much time Ive spent grouped with team at mid doing nothing. Then I started playing Warwick and only grouping for fights that will either happen NOW or I have nothing else to do. The enemy jungler will be with his team. THis way you will ussually be the highest level player in the team. I ussually get to lvl 18 at 30 minutes this way while the others are like lvl 15 or 16. Bottom line. Play selfish. Thats how udyr mains play and most of them climb super by straight up powerfarming to victory then killing you with raw stats. Thing is that WW gets tanky and can carry. Hope this helped a bit.
