Four Man Pre-Made Gets Me Perma-Banned

I have been in the past, quite toxic and have taken the punishments. Through the suspensions I have slowly begun to reform. I was unlocking my honor back and was on checkpoint 2/3. I had a game of URF where the enemy team instantly began flaming me and calling me racist for no reason. Around 5 minutes into the game, the enemy Pyke all chatted that they were four man reporting me for racism and I promptly got perma-banned after the game ended. This was a real shock as I barely said anything toxic all game and definitely nothing even remotely racist. This is the account I have been playing for four years so its terrible to have lost it. I have been trying to reform, and thought I was on a good path with unlocking checkpoints and getting honors. But when an unfair punishment like this happens it really makes it hard to. I would love to hear your feedback on the logs I will leave below, and since it's only my chat I will add some context in. I have submitted a ticket and am hoping that after reading this they might revoke the ban, but I really don't know. Please let me know what you guys think (This is the only game that was on my ban list thing). I got permad for calling someone a loser. Riot has hit the point where they have decided to take a zero-tolerance policy against anything even remotely negative. The special snow flakes have won LOL its a lost cause.

I'm not saying Riot has the worst ban system (I've seen worse in other games), but I do agree Riot has gotten too strict. You can't even banter or joke around without the fear of punishment. Racism should be punished as should saying stuff like KYS, etc. I think they need to rely less on the automated system and more on their human support staff.

Even taking the context out shows that this was an unfair ban, but if you wanna take it out that's fine. And you say that it won't get me punished but it did. I add the context in so it makes sense because for some reason Riot refuses to show other's messages.

That's not entirely true as when repealing a report/ban, you can state that the chat logs are out of context. You then ask for a second review, usually with a human support member and the suspension is reviewed. If they find that the actual context shows a new light, they will either repeal the ban entirely or lower it to a less severe punishment.

Did you also know that calling for reports is typically considered as a harassment and can get you punished over many games?

Did you also know that there is no need to call for reports, as 1 report does the same thing as 9 reports. All it does is flag the system to check the game for toxicity. The answer the system returns is the same regardless how many reports were recieved in that same game.

Finally, did you know the only context that matters is whether you used chat to harass or insult others? Regardless of why you choose to use those words, your intent was to harass others.

I don't get consistently reported as I've been getting checkpoints in my honor. That's kind of the whole point of my opening statement. If i was consistently being reported I wouldn't unlock checkpoints. And with your response, you think calling someone a snowflake after constant harassment is warrant for a perma ban?

You know that you can still progress in honors while getting validly reported? Although the valid reports do drastically reduce your progress, but if you aren't getting to new honor check points every 25 games or so, chances are you are getting validly reported.

I challenge you to write to https://support.riotgames.com and ask them how any games were considered in your punishment. The answer will suprise you.

Again, the only context that matters is whether you insulted someone. How they act has nothing to do with your punishment, but how you react does. If you insulted others occasionally, then the system won't punish you as it has some leniency built in, but your consistency insults to others put yourself into punishment again.

But I have been getting checkpoints every 25-30 games, so that means I'm not getting reported right? And I did email Riot. I get that you're all about being completely positive on league and I respect that. But if you honestly think something as stupid as calling someone a snowflake in a joking way is worthy of a permaban, that's a little ridiculous.

I said on average and there are times when I took breaks. You shouldn't take things so literally. Also, for someone who is supposed to be positive and comments on every post involving behavior you sure are snobby and full of yourself. "Stop with your denial and delusions." The chat log is right there for all to see. The only one Riot had in my ban, if there were more, they would've put them there.

How is it delusional? I don't believe I get reported very often anymore since I've already been suspended and didn't want to get banned. I already submitted a ticket like I said, I'm waiting for the response. I just love how you think you're the paragon of league when you instantly start attacking me even after I said I respect that you think the game should be all positive.

wait every 25 games? that seems like a very small number. while im not counting my games between progress, i know that on a new account i made last season for fun (where i didnt chat ever) i hit lv 24 before i reached honor 2.1 (h2 1. checkpoint) and i dare to say 25 games dont get you to lv 24. thats more like 70

The leveling up for honor takes longer once you've been punished. I started from a locked honor level, so the honor takes longer to procure. It's like gaining someone's trust back, it takes longer if you've lost it.

I was actually his duo partner for the game and I could confirm. We went to bot lane and after he killed them they started being negative towards him which, as we like to do, we went along with it. After a while it devolved into the enemy team calling us trash and I bantered back with them, he was just responding to what they're saying, which you can't really get because it only shows one side of what happened. The fact that merely responding to a toxic player can get you reported by their toxic 4 man and get you banned is utterly absurd. We both started playing together at the beginning of season 5 and only really ever play the game together, so if this has to be the end of that, then what a sad ending it is.

I play at least 4-5 games daily, but only if my friends are on. So on average I would say like 20 games a week at minimum.

So here’s the thing - you had a 14 day ban sometime recently - I can’t see exactly when (because your gaps in play sometimes are more than 2 weeks, and I doubt you got banned multiple times within a couple months), but it seems to have been no more than a month or two ago.

That ban was your final warning that negativity and harassment will result in further punishment on your account. This entire game had you insulting and harassing your teammates. I get that they may have “started it” but that doesn’t make it okay and it’s not an excuse for you to do the same sort of thing. Toxicity is not okay, no matter who did it first or who was “worse”.

If you had a clean account with no prior toxicity, this game likely wouldn’t have even given you a chat restriction (on its own). However, you were warned that you needed to be on your best behavior, and if this is your best, then it’s clear you didn’t change your attitude.

It's been much more than a month or two ago. The last time I was suspended was around September, maybe October. If there are huge gaps in my playing, it is most likely because I had mid-terms or exams I needed to study for.

October is still only about 2-3 months ago.

Even if you weren’t repunished, minor toxicity between then and now would’ve prevented you from bringing your account back into good standing. It takes 4-5 months of good, active play to bring an account that has been punished back into good standing.

It's about four months (Beginning of October, end of January), and as I stated I have been getting the honor checkpoints. Which means I haven't been reported. I'm very active and play a good amount of games and get consistent honors. I don't think one game should decided my account's status especially when I said nothing with the intent of hurting another player (Besides the snowflake thing which is so minor, to be banned for that is ridiculous)

It's already obvious that riot staff patrols these boards, downvoting anyone who threatens their revenue stream with the truth, and even removing comments/threads that conflict with their beliefs. I've seen people use slurs and actually flame our team in game while not getting punished for it. This is literally just banter between him and the other team. Honestly it's pretty tame and not nearly enough reason for a ban IMO.
