You know, to counter the ridiculous lifesteal on champions that this is meant to counter. Thornmail is supposed to counter champs like Tryn, Yi, Xin, etc. Fast-attacking glass cannons. But when their build includes 20-30% lifesteal then it's pointless. This would just be to counter that lifesteal.

I remember once a time seasons ago I killed a few adcs without doing anything to them because they had no life steal..or it just wasn't that great.
