Tip 1: Dont look at ranks before entering a game. Because it will create a mentality that will only hurt you when playing... you will underestimate silvers and you will overestimate diamonds.

Tip 2: Even if you check the ranks after the game and you won your lane or carried against a team of diamonds it doesn't matter because they might be chilling, playing roles/champions they are not accustomed to. Celebrate if you want, but don't let it get to your ego.

Tip 3: Dont look at ranks ever and find enjoyment that you can meet hard opposition in normals.

It doesn't really matter tbh. Diamond players will shit on silver players. It's not constructive for silvers to be playing against them. I'm not quite sure what determines normal matchmaking. Was playing with friends and we got paired against a team with Master + Diamond. In the following game we got paired against silver (we had a mix of bronze to platinum).

I checked it after the game, yes. It's really pathetic that the matchmaking system in normals is this terrible but what can you do?

Yea I get this almost non-stop in normals which leads to these really stompy games aka poor quality games. I wonder if the billion dollar company Riot has any plans to make a proper matchmaking system or ranked system. Probably not anytime in the near few years at least. Unfortunately the only semi-solution anyone really has is play ranked. It SORT of solves the issue of jankie matchmaking.
