PSA: We as Shaco mains are not denying that AP Shaco is too strong

We're just pissed off that Riot removed all the versatility of a champion turning him into a one dimensional assassin AND is now aiming at his ability to actually assassinate.

AP Shaco right now is strong as hell, and that's not due to his ratios, but due to the fact that he can instantly apply item 1402 item 3146 item 3100 + TLD out of stealth. Taking away some extra 20% AP from his burst will do nothing to change how fast he will be bursting a squishy with those 3 items, but will push him even further away from the early game champ his mains enjoyed due to the need to finish those items now.

Aside from that, AD Shaco, who was gutted hard on 6.22, is also getting a nerf with the reduced damage on his Shiv, which is absolutely ridiculous.

From a (former) Shaco main perpective who has seem similar situations happening before, I'm afraid that this is the road to Azir/Kalista/Aatrox territory.

I am fine that they are nerfing his AP ratios. With how he was being built, there was no counterplay to getting deleted in .5 seconds. Even inexperienced Shaco players were finding large amounts of success with the champion. It bothers me a lot that they are nerfing AD Shaco though. AD Shaco did not suffer from the same amount of "no counter play" deletions that AP Shaco did. He also was not at an absurd win rate for inexperienced players.

I'm honestly happy they are taking away the damage from AP Shaco, as Shaco is supposed to be a difficult champion to use. I just think that this is not the way to go. Adding an AP ratio to his Q was asking for AP Assassin items to be abused. The problem is not really his damage alone, it's the amount of burst that Thunderlords, LB, GB and Runic Echoes add to it. With his most frequent build, it adds over 1100 damage to his Q (which would already be doing about 700 damage), let alone how much it adds to his E with the raw AP of the build.

Shaco has always been an item abuser (Hell, he'd make Statik Shiv deal 325 damage to champions before the rework), I'm not sure why people are surprised with his abuse of items with extra ratios.
