Should Tahm Kench players really be maxing his Q first?

Looking at the stats, people seem to prefer maxing out his Q first for poke and harass, but I think that's not the best of ideas. I just got an S rank as Tahm by taking some early points in Devour (W), and it really paid off in spades. Having a quicker cooldown meant being able to save Draven more from his constant blunders into Nami's Q's, and dealing more damage when I swallow someone or shoot a minion at them makes up for any mana issues. As long as you're using Devour smartly early on, you shouldn't have serious mana problems unless your opponents are much better than you.

Not to mention that the Devour damage got me 8 kills throughout the game. XD

Of course, in-game situations should always take precedence, but try maxing out his W first instead of his Q, and you may be pleasantly surprised by how often you can gorge yourself.
