Have you tried ADC fiddlesticks? My god, there is no worse abuse case in this whole game. Melee carry? Fear. Super fed mage? Silence. Fellow ADC? Fear/Drain/Autos. Teamfight? High base damage aoe. My...god...this guy...if he had 500 range, he'd be an adc- Garen teed.

Dont drain in combat. You cant auto while draining, so you decrease your overall DPS if you are building ADC.

Shiv is good for almost all ADCs early and mid game for the waveclear and burst. Once you get late game, you just sell it for PD. That way you get the best of both worlds.

..You do realize that is exactly who you SHOULD build it on, right? At least, if you plan to rocket stance camp. Minigun is pd, rocket is shiv. Reason? Single target or Cleave. Incredibly straight forward. Not sure where this theory that shiv<PD came from, but...you can't really put a number on shivs passive especially if you know how to apply it. That said, PD is a stronger item if you just want to melt single targets and again the passive is immeasurable. Honestly, any good adc build has both. Especially Jinx.

This is Jinx best build (and idgaf if you disagree, I have received (before my Fiora hype) 7 pentakills on this build): item 1300 item 3031 item 3087 item 3046 item 3035 item 3153 Again, IDGAF if you disagree good friend but Jinx benefits MASSIVELY from the synergy between rocket stance and Shiv. You say just corner her? Wonderful, tell me how that works out on this speed demon who is already 700 units away. Oh catch her out of position? Tell me more, I have 700 bloody range and so much movespeed I should be arrested. Build tankier? Kek, sure. I take your hp and armor and shove it right where the sun doesn't shine. Don't let me get fed? Global ulti. Well, build PD over shiv? LOL sure, then I will just murder you in our 1v1 as Jinx vs Jinx.

Ahem...I got ... I uh...well I went too far, carry on. Keep thinking PD is better than Shiv or Shiv is better than PD. Make my day when you realize why one or the other is preferred. Hint, it isn't the stats =P

250%+ damage has better synergy than 200 magic damage shiv is ok early on in the game but if you keep it into late you're a dumbass shiv is not a bad item pd is simply superior later into the game where 200 magic damage becomes null

basic math

having both is a good idea if you are playing against a team with very little defense or their tanks are not a threat shiv is good for killing squishy targets,clearing waves and pd is better at everything else.

All the characters you listed would still never build SS over PD.

I play Miss Fortune and PD is straight up more dps than SS.

If you know how to slowpush a wave, you don't even need to have good waveclear. Just kill the Caster Minions ASAP, and only last-hit the Fighter and Siege Minions for 2-3 waves. Join team and hard-push mid while your minion wave gets huge bot. If the enemy team doesn't answer bot, they will take a tower and if they do answer bot you can force a fight 4v5 or take mid tower/dragon/baron. Or you can use your minion wave as bait.

Shiv is usually just bought over PD because you can get it sooner and subsequently reach your powerspike sooner.
