Scored an S, still demoted.
This is the life of Riot's wonderful cough ELO system that says even though I'm good enough to be facing plat players, I'm good enough to carry 4 silvers. That's not how an ELO works. The moment a Plat enters the gaming platform, silver should no longer be viable. If I can't invite my diamond player friends to play ranked with me, then there should never be silver players in a game with mostly gold/plat players. Additionally, if I'm playing plat players, then that means my ELO should be high. Yet I only gain 17 LP for harder matches. This system is fubar'ed and no one wants to fix it. I should be gaining 20+ LP facing players at a higher level than me. I should only be seeing +17 LP gains if I'm facing silver players. Additionally, if I still managed to score an S in a losing game, I should never be demoted. It's that simple. You're punishing players for 4 other "luck of the draw" players. Will they be good? Will they be bad? Will they at least be average so I can help them make plays? This system is needs a massive overhall. The LP gains and losses should be based off of personal performance and what rank the other team is. It shouldn't be based on anything else. Or, get rid of the LP completely and just let the ELO take over. If ELO says I'm plat, then I'm plat. Don't put me in ranks where I'm not against players that, in ANY other ladder in ANY other game, would not even be facing. Just because I beat them doesn't make the system fair. Fair would be if I'm facing higher ranks I would gain more and lose less. That's fair. This is a dice roll.
Support (or some other rarely played thing) for the sake of improving their chances of getting an S sounds like a bad idea.
