@Riot Why not do away with promo series?

I started playing in s6 so I don't know how the ranked system was before how it is now but I feel like ranking up when your mmr reaches a certain point would satisfy a lot of players. I'm sure most can agree that going through promos is a negative experience because it feels like match making is working against you.

You guys know a lot more than me so could you guys enlighten me to why this system isnt in place?

Alright. But they also remove any and ALL safety from getting demoted too. Or does this only work one way? In which case what is the point of a ranked ladder where the system actively pushes every single player forward?

part of what you say is how it works to get promoted from master to challenger tier. (once you have higher mmr then someone in challenger, you take their spot) but what I propose is for one thing, making your promos status private from others, because once they see your on promos, you better believe autofilled trolls are gonna hop on the train to garuntee their role

i.e: give me mid or I'm going AD nami
