Riven Question.

So, I just picked up Riven for fun, and she is fun, but I'm always wondering why I don't see many people pick up health defensive items. Other than the fact that she does incredible damage, and that her shield scales with AD, I see no reason not to buy items that give her armor or magic resist. Because if you pick up Hydra, Black Cleaver, and Bloodthirster, which is 205 AD, plus her normal max AD, and then whatever runes you have, you'd have about a 210 + 205 + 107 + x strength shield. With X being whatever runes, of course. Math!

Probably because she has great mobility, good short ccs, all AD scalings (and good ones at that), and an AD scaling shield for defence. While she probably will build defence, it's more likely to be a guardian angel, QSS, or maw of malmortius.

Quicksilver Sash. it has 80 AD, some good MR (50 if I remember correctly), and an active that cleanses all cc's and debuffs on you (and if your melee, gives +50% movespeed). It's not normally bought unless the other team has a lot of cc/someone based on their suppression cc (skarner, warwick, malzahar, ...urgot) due to its 3700 gold pricetag, but on Riven due to the high AD and active it could be a good 5th/6th item.
