Now that Irelias items all got nerfed, can we revert the changes made to her "E"?

Irelia is a very item reliant champion. She was nerfed when Triforce and all her easy matchups were meta. Now after the nerfs to -Sterak's -Triforce -Dead Man's Plate -Guinsoo's and the introduction of the toplane tank meta It surely isn't a problem to revert that (unjustified) change to her "E", right?

well .. you have to do a trade off .. tankyness or damage .... you can't get both .. that is the intention and it looks like it is working ...

This is true. That's why bruisers suck at killing tanks or tanking ad carries. Their defensive items are there to protect them from exploding, and their damage is there to help them kill squishy champions. Bruisers aren't tanks or assassins, they're somewhere in between. My problem is that all their items are getting nerfed because squishies are abusing the hybrid stats, making them with a little peel from their team almost unkillable. So to not let the squishies become unstoppable, it's reasonable to ask for a buff to the base stats of bruisers, instead to their items. Irelia has been unfairly nerfed in the past because the items she build were in meta. Now that the items got nerfed and nerfed again, all I'm asking is to revert the nerfs.

Ok now i get your point .. sorry but ... Irela is tagged as a secondary assasine ... she is not ment to be played as Juggernaut ... the's intended to be played as duver/light figher like Fiora or Jax ...

Bruisers and Juggernauts share a lot of the same items. Juggernauts are basically very tanky immobile bruisers, while bruisers have mobility but are less tanky.

Irelia is a secondary assassin because she has the potential to assassinate squishies (and probably because you used to be able to play her AP). That doesn't mean she's intended to go full damage. She's still primarily a bruiser. Besides, Fiora also builds tanky items so I don't quite see your point here...

you did look at my reference?

  • Juggernauts - Immobile, tough, build one to two offensive items on average (e.g. Nasus or Garen)
  • Divers - Pretty mobile, and really good at getting onto specific targets they want to kill, builds a little bit more offensively than juggernauts (e.g. Irelia or Xin Zhao)
  • Light fighters (need a better name for this group - Highly mobile, builds almost entirely offense, often good at killing multiple targets, usually squishy with windowed defense of evasieness (e.g. Trynd or Fiora).

Irelia is even mentioned as Diver - who builds more offensive then a juggernaut

That is exactly what I said (or not?). I don't understand how this is relevant however. Her Items got nerfed patch after patch making her less and less effective patch after patch. Right now she's the weakest since season 2 when triforce was trash tier. Her being classified as a diver doesn't invalidate my points. Yes, she isn't supposed to tank 5 enemies for 10 minutes, I never said that. I said that she isn't good anymore because her items suck. And yes, some of her core items she relies on got introduced with the juggernaut update. This is only the case however because Riot decided to give triforce to the ADCs with season 6. And now they're nerfing the only viable alternatives Irelia has, patch after patch. Hell, Riot even said they're looking at Guinsoo's right now, so there's likely another nerf coming to an item Irelia synergizes with.

.. show me your "normal" item builds plz ..

item 3078 (rush most times)rest depends. Check my match history for further information. I have over 1k games on Irelia, you could say I'm a little experienced with her.

hm .. i've taken a look at some games ... most of them you end up with 2 "offensive" items and the rest tank items ... i count item 3156 as offensive, item 3053 as tank item ....

so according to my link above .. that is still a juggernaut item build ... divers like irela are expeced to have like 3 offensive items ... if i get the wording correct.

First of all, you logic is flawed. Thinking in boxes like this about hybrid items is just wrong. Secondly, Irelia, unlike Xin Zhao, Garen or Jax for example, doesn't feature any "default" tankyness. Her whole kit is offense, and some FLAT healing. These 2 factors mean that Armor and MR items work incredibly well on her, and that building a lot of damage early isn't really an option, except for if the enemies come 1 by 1 at you, in which case building full damage is awesome. Here's a little video about what happens then. But if you plan on teamfighting, especially a little higher on the elo ladder, you can expect that people peel for their carries and you catch a lot of fire. Good luck with rushing 3 offensive items in that case. That's why I said "rest depends", if your whole plan is to go splitpushing, building a lot of offense IS an option. If you want to teamfight, because you got a strong tf comp, building a lot of offense IS NOT an option on Irelia.

Irelia "balance in all things"

What were the changes in the first place?

Myrmiron1 votes

They nerfed the base damage on max rank E by 40 (After nerfing it by 40 in another patch already) because she happened to become meta.

Ralanr1 votes

Ahh.

It's still buggy imo.

Myrmiron1 votes

How is her "E" buggy?

Ralanr1 votes

It stuns me when she was at a higher health percentage. It's only supposed to slow me when she's at higher health.

Myrmiron1 votes

That's indeed a bug. Cannot really say it happened to me though.

Ralanr1 votes

It more or less happens when I play against her. It's very tilting. She's honestly the only champion in the game who I will express outright hostility when seeing her.

All. Because. Of her E.

If this bug truly still exists and is not a rage based hallucination, then I'd like Riot to fix that before even considering buffing that E.

If she was ever to be reworked, I would hope the remove that E mechanic entirely.

idk maybe this

"V5.6:

Equilibrium Strike
    Damage reduced to 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 / 240 magic damage from 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 magic damage. "
